Sinve I've upgraded to a 9950x3d I'm having stability issues on Asus X670e Hero with the newest bios.
I'm running:
9950x3d
Asus ROG CROSSHAIR X670e Hero
G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR (64GB)
5090 Palit Gamerock
Corsair HX1200i (2023)
All on custom watercooling.
System has been running rock solid on 7950x3d. On EXPO 2 Profile.
Symptons:
Can game and work sometimes for hours. Than, suddenly after closing the game Google Chrome is hanging when I close it, it won't start again. MSI Afterburner is unresponsive.
When I start HWInfo it hangs for a while on Detecting CPU01. Eventually it will start and reads every sensor. I can start Chrome again and MSI afterburner is responsive.
But, the problem is; when I reboot MB hangs on orange light with CPU code 00 before reboot. If I choose the shutdown pc goes black screen and freezes.
I have to cycle power to restart pc and thah everything is back to normal until this process repeats.
I've tried various solutions:
Vsoc: 1.20 - 1.25
Memory context restore: Disabled
Memory Powerdown Enabled: Disabled
It seems that bios 3304 with ComboAM5 PI 1.2.0.3g and Gskill set with ryzen 9000 is not stable.
Any insights on this matter?

Nope unfortunately not... this setting I have enabled. This was causing 0D errors... not 00 errors
I think the problem is some tighter EXPO settings in the ComboAM5 PI 1.2.0.3g which causes instability... playing around with vsoc seems to do something now on vsoc 1.21 and thusfar stable...

The random freezes and Q-code 00 issues on my Crosshair X670E Hero with a Ryzen 9 9950X3D were caused by an ASUS Embedded Controller (EC) lock, not EXPO or CPU instability.
Polling the EC through tools like FanControl overloaded the SMBus and blocked ACPI/WMI communication, freezing Chrome and causing GPU driver timeouts.
After disabling EC access in FanControl and letting it read temps from my Aqua Computer D5 Next instead, the system has been completely stable till now...

Hey I was wondering if it is still stable. I am facing a similar issue on the x670e Gene. I would get random Q-Code 00 issues. I already had Embedded EC disabled, but since the new driver update fancontrol seems to pull data from the nuvoton sensor.

Yes, the problem is the polling of the Asus EC through FanControl. After disabling EC access my pc is rock stable. EXPO 1 on 1.10 SoC is giving me 0 issues.
