B650-a gaming new build issues need help.

Hello everyone just had a question or two I've been building computers for a while but I can't seem to figure this one out. I'm building a new computer for gaming for my stepson and using the Asus Strix 650-A Gaming wifi. I pre-downloaded pretty much all the software I needed including the BIOS and renaming the file and I got the BIOS updated and everything is recognized in the bios. He is running the AMD 7600x CPU. I downloaded the Windows media creation tool to load Windows. The problem I'm having is it will not boot to my flash drive, it is FAT32 already I do have the Windows media creation Exe on there but it shows that my USB drive is at 0. I even tried using a different flash drive and it recognizes how big it is but does not boot from it. It also acknowledges the m.2s that are in there but it doesn't give them the option to be booted from.

I have also tried to take out the CMOS battery to reset bios and it does not reset the bios, I did drain the energy =), I let it set without the power cord and battery out for 10 minutes

Any help would be appreciated thank you very much.

Hello EvolutionX

It's normal for drives to not show in the boot menu until windows is installed, you'll have to assign the storage drives a letter with Disk Management.

You should have only one ssd installed when installing windows, so there's no confusion during the installation.

Then, it should be as simple as inserting your windows usb flash drive into a usb port.

Boot up, enter the bios, go to the Boot tab. Under Boot Option 1,  you should see your usb flash drive, it should show UEFI in front of it.

Hit F10 and Enter to save and exit. On the reboot, it will stick on the ROG logo for a little bit, then proceed to the windows installation setup.

Just to be clear, you aren't supposed to copy the Media creation tool to USB. You run MediaCreationTool.exe on another computer and it downloads & copies the Windows ISO to the USB drive.

Error should desist after setting CPU_FAN header to "Ignore".

I followed your advice and the others persons and then realized (after reading the the reply) I didn't run the tool first then put the files in. I did post on the other persons post of the next issue I'm having. You both helped a ton. I had to use the USB to download the wifi drivers to get internet on the new pc and got things up and running just having the always booting to bios problem, there is only one ssd to boot from. You can see the picture below of the explanation of the cpu fan error

I realized that after the mod and you posting. I got it working but now I'm having the issue it booting to bios automatically and I have to get into the boot menu and hit this ssd and then it will load windows. It's the only drive in there and I get a cpu fan error. He's using the nzxt kraken 240 and have that plugged into the aio header. It says to ignore that and change the speed to a lower setting. I'll take a picture.

I haven't found that option yet I'll go look in a minute and see if I see that. It's was pretty late when I got done 130am. Thanks for the reply back.

In the bios, go to the Monitoring tab, set CPU Fan Speed to Ignore.

This also fixed booting right to bios now it loads like normal.
