Hi to all..
New here, from Argentina. I do not where to look for a clue with this little issue.
I built a 7800x3d with this mother and bought 2x16gb corsair CL40 (40-40-40-77).
Model number: CMK32GX5M2B5200C40
I realize that one module was defective becasue it wont POST on any alot I connect the module.
The other module works fine If I connect in A2 and B2. If I connect to the A1 or B1, does not POST.
Anyway, dispite the defective module, the one is working, its on 4800mhz default. I decided to update BIOS to 1618 to stay away from the high cpu voltage.
After that, tried to DOCP the only module I had connected. If I activate o try to set more mhz on RAM, it doesnt POST.
The only way the I can get POST is setting all AUTO. But the memory works at 4800mhz.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advanced and sorry for my English.
Regards

Hi to all.
Just wanna update this topic for someone has this issue in the future.
Updated to last BIOS (1636) and the DOCP 1 started to working. Im on 5200mhz memory setting.

Hello,
Is there any particular reason you've not returned the memory kit? CMK32GX5M2B5200C40 isn't currently present on the QVL. If the kit is defective, return and perhaps opt for another:

Hi, and thanks for your answer..
I know that isnt in the QVL list, but generally, this list is most for dual channel configuration. Im working with one stick that I think its a good stick.
In the other hand, its not that simple when you live outside USA, specially in Argentina. Its very hard and expensive buy hardware.
In the meanwhile, Im talking with the buyer if we can do something to RMA the sticks. But I would like to test and know why with the good stick does not work with DOCP.
Thanks

Hi, thanks for your reply...
I could get return the defective stick and a new one is coming to my country. Im still hoping that its the memory.
When I have the other new stick, i would confirm where is the issue I think. If the new one doesnt work, sandly will be the 7800x3d. And, it a pain in the ass replace that part 😞
Thanks for sharing your experience. It was very helpful

Hey, you had a similar issue to me so I thought I could chime in. I too had EXPO setting issues with RAM, could only run JDEC(stock) RAM timings. Also instability with more than 1 RAM stick installed, especially in the A1/B1 banks(the DDR enabled banks). I replaced my RAM first and still had the same issue.
I replaced the motherboard but it still did not fully resolve my issues. I finally had to replace my 7800X3D CPU due to it having a faulty memory controller. I suspect you have the same issue as all your issues pertain to memory settings and stability.
I would definitely look to replace your CPU first, I have a feeling there was a bad batch of 7800X3D's being pumped out and this doesn't seem to be an uncommon issue. Good luck!

Hi to all and thanks for the answers.
I would like to update the principal Issue. I replaced the stick and now, I have two sticks of 16gb each (32GB total) running at 4800mhz.
The only problem is I cannot set DOCP profile. When I set, restart 2 times and the BIOS told me it´s in safe mode because inestability. So, I have to set all in AUTO.
Is it possible that the new BIOS has any trouble with the DOCP profiles and OC rams? I read in other sites like reddit that some guys dwongrade the BIOS and set the CPU voltage to manual to avoid burn the CPU and can use the OC rams.
Any clues?
Thanks again!

Hello,
Have you tried both DOCP I and DOCP II?
Check what auto rules are applying for VSOC and increase incrementally by 20 to 30mV. Some CPU will need the voltage for 6000MT.

Hi Silent,
I Uploaded you how are the voltages settings after apllied the DOCP 1/2 and booted safe mode bios.
I have corsar 5200, not 6000.
You recommend that set cpu soc voltage manual y try, for example, 1.150v ?

You can try in the region of 1.15 to 1.25v.

Ok. To be sure, I have to set DOCP profile and after that, set SOC manual and select 1.15v.
Settings the SOC voltage to this number block the Voltage and works with 1.15v or its a limit and the CPU will work even less than 1.15v?
Thanks in advanced
