Asus Tuf Gaming x670e-plus wifi memory issues

Hi to all!

I have a wierd issue regarding memory.

I have two Sticks Corsair 2x16GB 5200mhz. Actually, running at 4800mhz in slot 2 and 4, as Manual says. BIOS running 1813 (the latest I think). The processor is a 7800X3D

The issue is when I want to restart Windows clicking in "restart" o reboot the PC, DRAM light in yellow in the mother and I have to manual shutdown the PC (keep pressing the power buton for 4 secnds) and start again with any issue.

I mean, I can not restart the PC because it wont boot, but if I shutdown and then, in any time, power up again, it works without any issue.

If I choose one stick and use only 16GB of ram in slot 1 (as manual says), I can reboot windows without problem. 

So, There is a problem with the dual channel configuration but I do not know what it could be.

Any clues?

Hi @raiden86 

Clear the UEFI and test at Optimised Defaults without EXPO enabled.

If the system still refuses to complete POST with both modules installed:

Remove the CPU cooler and CPU and inspect the CPU pin-pad for any bent pins of debris. If all looks ok, reattach the cooler and ensure consistent mounting pressure as per the cooler vendors instructions. 

Retest and report back.

Edit: Awoseme!!! I checked all the parts and they seems to be good... I removed the CPU and mounted again.. The Mother detects "New CPU". BIOS resetted..  Loaded optimised default without any OC.
After windows starts, I tried a reboot and it worked!
I will be testing a little more and then, I can work with EXPO settings. Thanks!

Hey Raiden86. I just caught your post now and noticed that the memory you were having problems with is a Corsair brand. The model number you claim to be working with is CMH32GX5M2B5200C40I, I believe this does not support AMD EXPO but Intel XMP instead and can give you issues during post and trying to up the performance. Another thing to keep in mind is that the ASUS boards have an issue with running two kits of the Corsair 2X16 format if you try to achieve 64 GIG. I had this issue with my ASUS X670E-Plus WIFI. When installing 1 kit for a total of 32 gig it worked fine when I installed the second set to achieve 64 gig the system just hung up during the post process and stayed that way until a reboot with only 32 Gig installed. I tried both kits independently and both kits worked fine by themselves. I was using the Corsair CHM32GX5M2B6000Z30K which is specifically made for AMD and support of EXPO. The best and most stable memory for my setup following ASUS tech support suggestion is the G-Skill brand model F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR. With this memory you can take up all 4 slots with no issues and crank the performance up to the top. According to AMD there is an issue with using 2 of the Corsair kits for some odd unexplainable reason. I am using the ASUS X670E-Plus WIFI motherboard, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU, 1,200-watt power supply, NZXT twin fan radiator and cooling block, Sapphire 11330-01-20G Nitro+ AMD Radeon RX7800 XT with 16 GIG on board, Samsung 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD and 64 gig of G-skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR memory.
