I have bought an Asus TUF Gaming B650M-E and a Ryzen 7 9700X. I started the setup for Win 11, but there was a message, that Windows 11 would not support my hardware. So I guessed, that my BIOS was too old. I looked up at the support-website for my mainboard and just for fun I also looked at the list of supported CPUs, cause I wanted to know, since when the 9700X is supported.
But surprise: In the list the Ryzen 7 9700X and some other CPUs are missed! This must be just a mistake, doesn't it? Cause e.g. the Ryzen 5 9600 is supported, also some 125W-CPUs like the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. And my Ryzen 7 9700X has just a TDP of 65W. And in the UEFI my CPU is correctly listed, so it seems that it IS supported.
Can someone confirm, that it's only a mistake in the list - or is my CPU really not supported? If it's not supported: What kind of problems could I have? Or is it only important for OC-issues?
It's not an ROG-Mainboard, but the TUF Gaming B650M-E, but I am sure there is someone here to know the answer. 😉
thank you all

Likely just an oversight, from your perspective I wouldn't be concerned at all. The chipset is perfectly capable of accommodating that CPU

Hi @HerbinhoCGN
Yes the CPU is supported by the TUF Gaming B650M-E. Ensure to use flashback to the latest UEFI.

Thank you, I allready installed the latest UEFI, everything is okay. I just wondered, cause the CPU is not listed as compatible, if I would have problems like less performance or something like that even though the CPU is shown correctly in the UEFI.
But why is it the R7 9700X missed in the list of compatible CPUs? Any idea?
