Hello,

So here is my some information regardingf Asus rog strix x670e-e gaming wifi with AMD Ryzern 9 7950X3D.

Bought wrong memory at first, then bought G.Skill AMD Expo verified memory.

With bios settings:
Expo - No boot, error code C5 on the motherboard.
Expo II - Same as above.
Expo Tweaked - Boot but took a long time to get past code C15.

Problems:
With expo tweaked enabled boot the second Nvme drive would'nt show up in BIOS or in Windows.
When restart in Windows BIOS would boot in safe mode. Just press F10 no changes made  and everything is OK.
The second Nvme came back again.

When powered off the motherboard would put out the error code 00, (CPU error).
Pull the plug, wait 15 seconds and above problems with Nvme would reappear.

Found on random forum to enable "memory context restore" both in AI Tweaker and in Advanced.

With above enabled, computer boots all the time with no errors. Even when powered off.
Memory runs at 6000Mhz, no problems what so ever.

BIOS is updated to the latest version 2204.

Second problem:
When mouse charging through mousepad USB and charging is done at 100% ALL USB devices resets.
Keyboard shuts down, Mouse shuts down, Audio shuts down, for about 5 seconds then everything works like normal again.

I have had a lot of issues like yours.

7950x

ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Bios 2204

Kit I am running G.SKill - F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR

Ordered a corsair Kit that comes today and going to try it to see if there are any changes CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30K

I had to enable mem context in both places to get it to post with expo enabled. I am having random desktop freezing as well - found that disabling c-state helped but am in the process of testing w/o curve optimizer to see if maybe my offset was too high as well.  Another odditity is ANY changes I make in the bios can trigger the hang at 15 then c5 and restart.

I found this thread this morning with a beta bios for this board but have not tried it https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/amd-600-series/x670-resource/td-p/901576/page/255. If the new memory kit does not correct my issue a little hesitant to try the beta bios because Asus hasnt posted it here - https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-x670e-e-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_bios/ . I plan on  RMA'ing the Board and go with another brand/CPU - stick with the 7950x just get a replacement/ return the G.Skill Kit and keep the corair kit.  Man I thought my 14900ks woes were bad....lol

Update:

New memory kit did th trick for me. No issues using expo anymore. What a pain. QVL list did me wrong for sure. Even G.Skill's QVL said it was good to go... SMH.

Just an update.

I bought G.Skill f5-6000j3036g32gx2-tz5nrw, I have no idea if this model is on QVL list or not.
But  it works on Expo Tweaked and Memory Contect Restore Enabled in both AI Tweaker and AMD under Advanced.

It runs in 6000 MT/s in Windows with no problems, boot time is as fast as when Expo mode is disabled.

Update 2, okay almost with no problems.

Second Nvme drive would not show up in about 4 of 10 bootups.
Restart from Windows will solve above issue all of time.

I recently built a system around this board (about a week ago today), and I have intermittent issues with the M.2_2 slot as well. While using the other NVME slots is a workaround... One of the NVME slots on this board has shared bandwidth, meaning your primary GPU slot drops to x16 so this is a huge annoyance.

This problem seems to be common and seems to have started with BIOS 2007:
https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/amd-600-series/rog-strix-x670e-e-gaming-wifi/td-p/1015781

It appears I have a "work around" the issue for now. When I use a  Gen 3 NVME SSD  in M.2_2, the problem no longer seems to occur. Or maybe it just occurs less frequently? I'll need more testing to know for sure, but it appears to be fixed, or at the very least, occurs much less frequently with a Gen 3 drive.

I haven't had the time to move a Gen 4 drive back into M.2_2 and try without EXPO or various other things. I did try a bunch with fast boot disabled... That didn't fix it.

My other 2 drives are Samsung 990 Pros (2TB and 4TB), and I'd probably upgrade this Gen 3 to a Gen 4 drive today if weren't for this problem.

I'm running my memory with EXPO II at 6000 with 4 dimms... Which sounds slightly bad, but I used this same memory for over a year in a Crosshair x670e Extreme board with the same CPU (7950x) without any issues (and all 3 non-shared NVME slots populated the entire time), and these particular dimms are single rank, so they're not particularly stressful on the IMC.
