Hi all,
I have a CROSSHAIR X670E HERO paired with a Strix 4090 and an AMD 7950X.
Currently, I have 3 LG OLED TVs connected using HDMI-to-HDMI cables.
Since the GPU only has 2 HDMI outputs, and I couldn’t find a DP-to-HDMI adapter capable of handling 4K 144Hz HDR with 10/12-bit RGB, I decided to connect the third HDMI cable to the motherboard's HDMI port. To my surprise, it works flawlessly: stable 4K at 144Hz with HDR 10-bit RGB.
Its alle good, but HOW on earth is this even working?
The CPU doesn’t have an iGPU, so the motherboard's HDMI port shouldn’t work at all.
Does the MB come with an HDMI passthrough? I Couldnt find further information.
How is this not only working but performing like a pro?
Im worried this is just a glitch in the matrix and some futur firmware update might ruin it for me.
