I found a thread opened sometime ago with the same header but due to inactivity it was closed.
I’m experiencing random crashes on a Windows 10. Also my GPU cannot be detected from time to time, so I have to switch to the onboard GPU.
Weird thing is, the system was working fine for a few days when I first set it up. I made some small changes like switching the slots of the M2 SSD’s and replacing some fans and the problems started.
Updated the Bios from 1710 to 2 something, latest one on their website.
To do list;
I’ll cancel the expo on the Bios, Using the 2x32 GB Gskill Rams at 6000 mhz at the moment.
I’ll install the other graphics card I have and see how it performs on this one. Both the graphics cards were working flawlessly before on other systems.
The second PCIe slot I’m using for 2 M2 SSD’s, I’ll move one of them to the third PCIe slot and cancel the RAID mode.
When I check the Windows logs nothing showing up about the crashes. I’ll share my experiences and hopefully find the solution for the annoying problems.
Solved! Go to Solution.

So, my system works fine for a day now.
To make a summary; the 2x24 cm front fans were connected to the same header with a splitter cable for better cable organization. I was suspecting of it but weird that I tried it as one of the last things in the list. Yesterday I connected the cables to different headers, when I was doing that I realized that the splitter cable also has a power outlet but I didn’t connect it to the PSU. Most probably I wasn’t very careful and forgot or basically avoided that. I tried too many things but I believe that change solved the problem in the end.
One good thing about trying too many different configurations is, I realized that 2 of the RAM slots are not working properly. I put the 2x32 GB RAM to A2-B2 slots as suggested on the MB’s manual and it was working fine. As I was desperate to solve the problem, gave the other slots a try and realized that A1-B1 slots are not working alone or together. Weird but they work if I install the RAMs with a A1-A2 or B1-B2 slots configuration. On the forums they suggest to loosen the screw for water cooler pump, weird but they claim it may cause such problems. It wasn’t too tight but I still did what they say, problem wasn’t solved.
Edit: I guess it’s how the RAM slots on this motherboard works. Without filling the A2-B2 the other slots don’t work. So there’s no problems. Even though it’s not related with the original problem I’ll leave it here as it may help someone trying to find information on the RAM slots.
I’ll mark this answer as solution, hope I don’t need to edit or start a new thread about this problem later.

Realized that when I updated the BIOS I forgot to switch Expo on, so it was already off. One thing got out of the list.
Gave up on the bifurcation, connected the other M2 SSD to the PCIe 3 slot, crashes continue, so not that as well. Btw I already have 4 M2 SSD cards on the motherboard slots, so these 2 are connected with adapters.
One critical information is, PC generally resets when I’m not using it, only crashed and restarted once when I was watching the screen. I was transferring some files on an old HDD, I’m not using that HDD now.
Another critical information is, I guess whenever the PC restarts it cannot detect the GPU on the first PCIe slot anymore. Not showing on the device list. And when I restart the PC myself still cannot be detected. The onboard GPU always gets detected and works without any problems. So I’ll lean on that, today I’ll switch to the other GPU. The same GPU, AMD RX 6600, worked fine with 2 other systems without any problems before.
I’ll be totally relieved but confused at the same time if this comes out to be a GPU related problem.

Hello, @rbnsncrs
Based on your description, an aging drive could indeed cause the reported issue.
We suggest trying to install only the CPU (using integrated graphics), RAM, a new SSD, and PSU to see if the problem persists.
If needed, clear CMOS and check again.
Thank you.

I keep working on the problem.
I set the BIOS to default settings. I saw that only change was one PCIe was set to x8, it was switched to auto I guess.
I switched to the Nvidia 3080 card I had. Since then there's no GPU problems. So obviously that was totally an unrelated problem. Most probably the solution will be on the AMD side as seems like 7800x3D and RX6600 GPU must be colliding in a way.
I even changed the fans in a desperate attempt to the old ones but problem continues.
My next to do list:
- Transferring files from the old HDD's is about to finish. At least they'll be totally out of the equation in a couple of days. The thing is, same harddisks never caused problem to another 2 systems for years. I still have one more system at home which when I connect these harddisks it still works without any problems for days.
- 2 of the front 24 cm fans are connected to the same fan header with a splitter. I did it for better cable management but maybe it's a lot of load at some point. I'll use 2 seperate fan headers instead.
- I checked the event viewer. Not always but some of the restarts I saw that TPM-WMI ID 1796 problems. I read on some forum that one user's problem was solved changing the thermal paste for the CPU, I'll do the same. Used the same thermal paste for 2 systems, the other one works without any problems but I'll still use another thermal paste I had at home.
- I'll switch the PSU with the other system. The one I use now is 1300W, other one 850. There shouldn't be any problems.
- I'll switch the RAM slots and check. Edit: Removed one of the RAMs now, I'll try them one by one.
- I didn't think of clearing the CMOS, with your advice I'll try that as well.
I'm away from home. I just see that the system was reset when I check with the remote connection. So trying things takes a lot of time.
After I solve this I need to figure out what's going on with the GPU because until I buy a new GPU I'll use this systen with the RX6600 I have.

So what I did in this period.
Deactivated the internal graphics in BIOS, I guess at least that problem is solved.
Changed the thermal paste, no change.
Tried the Rams alone, problem continues. But I realized something, A1-B1 slots of the motherboard not working. I always tried A2-B2, so this is something new. Weird that I never tried those slots until now.
Cleared the CMOS.
So, no solution. I don't know if the PSU is worth checking but I can try that as well.
Total disappointment at this point. I'll try some more today and ask for a return or replacement. Luckily I have a stable working system at home.
