2nd bay NVME drive keeps dropping

OmniiOMEGA
Level 9

Issue been ongoing for couple weeks now where the 2nd drive NVME drive bay keeps disconnecting / dropping off. I've tried rescanning the disk in Disk Management but it doesn't reappear until I disconnect the drive physically then reconnect it then reboot the computer and it's back for however long...

Not sure if it's related but I think it might be related to the ASUS ROG HIVE accessory where I leave the USB C -> USB A connection connected?? Like when I reboot with this connected my computer won't boot post bios with it connected, have to disconnect the USB-C cable and it post boots?

Also noticed the device manager has some yellow exclamation marks showing, should I install the drivers to see if that helps?

NVME drive is a brand new Samsung 990 Pro 4TB
MB is ROG STRIX X670E-I
BIOS is ROG STRIX X670E-I GAMING WIFI BIOS 2413
ROG STRIX HIVE Version 4.302.0000-0015.0000

EDIT: Just discovered by emailing ASUS they said to check that the ASUS HIVE is connected to the correct USB port on the MB?

ROG STRIX HIVE installation and appearance introduction:

ROG STRIX HIVE installation

1. ROG STRIX HIVE needs to be connected with a USB Type-A to Type-C cable through the designated USB PORT of the motherboard (the Type-A end of the cable is connected to the motherboard)

(Example: ROG STRIX X670E-I GAMING WIFI motherboard as shown)
