XFR2 and Precision Boost 2 / 2700X on Crosshair VI (6) Hero

Hi all,

quick question:

I am interested in running a Ryzen 2700X on a Crosshair VI (6) Hero.
Does the board and BIOS actually support XFR2 and Precision Boost 2?
Will the processor boost by itself to the 4.35 GHz as advertised?

Thanks for the answers.

Regards

Hi,

thanks for this screenshot.

Is it too much to ask you to run the processor on stock settings and post a screenshot of clock speeds and voltages?
I want to let the processor do it's own thing in auto overclocking itself and wanted to see it this actually works 🙂

Would be much appreciated.

heres me the other day upgrading my ch6 hero... the 2700x runs perfectly as the video shows. you can see the bios start to change some settings when its turned on for the first time with the new chip. i thought was interesting. performance has been noticeably quicker for me... Hi,

thanks for posting this video.
But could you tell me if the XFR2 and Precision Boost 2 Features are actually working on this board?
Try running the CPU on stock settings and see if the cores are overclocking themselves.

Looking forward on your feedback.

From what I have noted from seeing owners monitoring data/experience shares, all 3 aspects shown below seem to occur on C6H when a Pinnacle Ridge CPU is used.

Precision Boost Override in UEFI seems to be same as Precision Boost Overdrive. Only shown when a Pinnacle Ridge CPU is used. Max 1T MHz is still stock, but nT MHz increases. Parameters as shown in slide (bottom right) are tweaked via four selectable presets. If there is user selectable control of these parameters I have no idea yet. I have 1800X+C6H and 2700X+C7H, not found time to try 2700X in C6H or complete build of 2700X+C7H.
