I recently noticed that F2 and Del were consistently failing to allow me to access the BIOS, despite never having this problem before. I have a custom water loop, so when I did a manual CMOS reset, it POSTed but noted that it didnt detect a CPU fan but still would not let me enter the BIOS. Therefore, I disassembled my water cooling loop and took out my vertically mounted GPU to access the CMOS battery which I replaced. I then did another CMOS reset. Put the rig back together and used flash BIOS to update the mobo to the current version of BIOS.
When I turned on the PC, it would not post and would settle on errors A2, 00, 94. It also did a loop of dE->Ad->00->0A->07->44
I assume given the breadth of these messages that the mobo is not properly communicating with any of the installed components and the mobo is bricked? I just wanted to see if there is a fix for what I am seeing and figure out if it is the CPU or mobo (I figure it's probably the mobo). I built this PC in 2020 and have not had any problems with it until this week.

your could remove everything like ram, cpu, and gpu prior to running flashback and just leave it for like 15 min and then try it or you could flash a version prior to whatever your are trying to flash.

Ya, I tried going back to the 2020 bios I started with when I built it and it actually POSTed and then the screen said "BIOS updating LED Do power off" after it went back into its boot death spiral. I guess ill have to take everything apart again and see if that helps.

you could go back to the oldest version you can find or if your have your cpu in you could go to the oldest version supported by your cpu and flash that to see what happenes. I guess seeing as your getting to the led firmware there is hope for the mobo.

Ya, tried all of the above. Took everything apart. PIns and lid on the CPU look fine. Tried to boot with single channel memory because when I loaded the oldest BIOS it gave me a memory error on the POST LED. But yea more of the same. Sigh

have you tried 1 stick in different slots? that's really odd that this started happening after a bios update. I've read some reddit garbage about the led firmware boot loop and 1 suggestion was to pull the battery and unplug the power and clear the cmos and leave it sit for awhile, not sure how much faith I'd have in that helping at all. out of curiosity what cpu cooler are you using?
edit with 1 more option
pull the battery, clear the cmos then flash with flashback then wait 15 min and clear cmos again and see what happens. Did they give you a jumper with that mobo or are you shorting with a screwdriver?

I don't believe replacing the clock/time battery does anything with your BIOS anymore, besides reset the time. Were you using the reset CMOS/BIOS flashback buttons as well? Which error code did the motherboard typically settle on? What happens if you boot without certain hardware attached, like your boot drive? Do you have another GPU you can boot with?
You probably know and already did this correctly, but press the clear CMOS button on the motherboard, or on the backside of the motherboard while the computer is powered on. If that doesn't work, try the BIOS flashback button while powered on.
