It is bittersweet news, but it seems like there is a pile of people with boot problems (double boot, code 8, board unresponsive), so perhaps the hardware is ok and the Bios is causing problems.

Lets just sit tight, do the boot mini-game until Asus solves this. Otherwise, they will have to accept a pile of RMA with the buggy BIOS'es that they cannot fix. All of the Hero boards come with the 3 year warranty, so nobody is out of coverage.

Yep, the Assus ROG software team is the worst in the world.. I mean, if you can't make a BIOS than just stop and fire your team and get people that do know how to get things done.. This makes me really pissed because these little things can cause lots of other issues too. Its not only the fan that starts spinning up but it also causes latency issues in Windows and some games too..
My CH7 was running so well and now this again..

What is with this BIOS's all the time man...?

I flashed to 2703 2 days back and i noticed some weird things.

CBS in bios lacks A LOT of settings.. I can't even tweak my RAM anymore..

Boost clocks are fairly good in Windows for a change but that's about it. I can't reboot because it hangs giving random error codes on the display. I also can't cold boot and i have to push the reset button in order to boot properly.

I reset every thing and pulled the BIOS battery in order to do an proper reset but that only results in even more carnage as the buttons on the board do nothing, reset and or save boot as it only boots in the BIOS and or Windows with the same settings..

Now i have to flash back to previous BIOS as this 2703 BIOS is utterly broken for me or my board is going bad.

That's weird. My 2703 going great with 3900x. Ram timings at 14.14.17.14 3400 too.

Still debating if I should leave this for stilt bios or wait.

Same, I'm on the C7H and 3900X. With Stilt's modded bios with new SMU module, I've hit 4.5Ghz on boosts, whereas before I was only hitting 4225.

Which exactly BIOS? Can you provide a link? Thanks!

Hi @ all,

Shamino do you maybe have something new for us to test for the C7H WIFI?
I am also on TheStilts new mod atm, reaching 4.2GHz on all cores stock during CB 15 SC test.
With PBO enabled (+200 Auto OC) i see 4.4GHz on almost every core (only one reaches 4.35GHz and one 4.375GHz) the other 4 cores 4.4GHz (using Ryzen 3600 non X).
If i overclock my RAM, boostclocks dropping to max 4.375GHz on 2 Cores and the other 4 cores 4.325-4.35GHz.
Would be nice to have an official ASUS Beta Bios, maybe you have something for us. Thank you.

To be frank, I'm tired of beta and modded BIOS's. I'd rather just let Asus take some extra time to make a properly stable, mature, and good BIOS.

Not weird at all mate, i am on 2600x. The weird part is that Assus is not capable of releasing a BIOS that can handle both and is the only manufacturer with this problem and blame it on AGESA or AMD... I hate that.. just admit the issue and fix it instead of lying all the time..

Things are getting worse over at Assus ROG since Elmor left..

I do not know which rock you have been hiding under, but there's plenty of issues over at the other vendors as well. Yes, Asus could be better, but NO they are not worse than anyone else in particular.
R9 7950X - ASUS X670E Crosshair Extreme (bios 0803) - 32GB HyperX Fury Beast @6200c32 - Corsair H150i Pro - ASUS RTX3080 TUF OC V2 - Phanteks P400A - Corsair RM850 - WD SN850

I am not under a rock, you are in denial i think.. Several of friends of mine have Gigabyte or MSI boards and have none of the issues Assus is having..

Nevertheless, Assus is telling and advertising that they "are the best" while they clearly are not with all these issues. Several of their staff members left for good reason and that is not because Assus is the best...

Has any known figure besides Elmor left? Is Raja still at ASUS?
