Will the new Ryzen 3x00XT CPUs require new bioses?

And will they be available on 7/7/2020 when the CPUs are available? I hope these new CPUs can fit in the bios because AMD said if we use the Zen 3 Bios on X470's then we won't be able to use older chips or even go back.

I will be updating to a 3900x, but I have a C7H wifi. I hope the proper bios for this chip will be available by then.

The XT is a refresh of Ryzen 3000 series ZEN2 not ZEN3 (that will be closer to end of year)

This is because low level (higher risk) format of the BIOS is required in order to use ZEN3 and why it will be one way trip for older motherboards. (this is my understanding from reading about it, might be wrong, not a BIOS expert in way shape or form)

AMD appear to be branching the AGESA code off.

AGESA v1 1.0.0.6 for 3xx / 4xx series boards.
AGESA v2 1.0.0.2 for 5xx series boards.

ASUS should hopefully release a road map of when to expect the updates (as others have).
They will probably release updates for newer 5xx series boards as first priority.

Only ASUS can answer the rest of your questions.
But they don't seam to very active on this forum strangely enough.
