Which is the best BIOS to use for Crosshair VI Hero right now?

Hi,

I have never used beta bios before and I just wanted to ask which one would be best for me? I'm using 2x 16GB Corsair RED LED 3200Mhz RAM leftover from my x99 build. Is 1407 or 1401 I believe the best right now?

I have bus speeds for my CPU at 99.80 in CPU-Z and it's very frustrating so I was hoping that updating the BIOS would help. EDIT: Fixed by using manual Ai OC tuner.

1401 or 902 beta revision. I would start with 1401

Hi!
Thanks for the reply. Have you used it yourself and is this bios legit? I just want to make sure that I'm not going to brick my motherboard haha.

"it's highly depends..." If you want 2 overclock max - several RAM types are worling better on older versions. Ypu may see thread, pinned to the top of our MB forum section. 4 me - best is 1401, I am not overclockong 2 see 3600. But 2800 with 4 DIMMS, 1T and standard voltabe looks good.

1401 is this good? Mmm... So I guess it's worth using? I heard there are cold boot problems.

i would suggest 1401 (beta bios) which is pretty good and let's you "play"around with ram, though the bios i a little unstable (personaly had a few crashes)

If you want a verry stable experiance i would sugges 1201 but then you're ram is caped at 3200mhx at max! Though the overal experiance (in my case) is that it is the most stable atm!

Im currently on 1201 and it is stable. I Pstate overclocked and normal overclocked my 1800x but ram is at 2666Mhz with 14 14 14 14 34 timings and I wish I could at least achieve 3200mhz with the RAM I have.

with my stock board and bios 1401 bios , all i did was manually enter 3200 and bumped dram power to 2.73
that was it now im running stable 32gig at 3200mhz

What RAM do you have? Also, have you had any issues with 1401 bios?

I have the Flair ram 32 gig kit for the Ryzen cpu, and since 1401 came out it has been running stable at 3200mhz
I forgot but samsung makes certain ram that is very compatible with the Ryzen computers, so just dont go and buy any ram, look here in the forums and you will probably find your answers
