What graphics card would you reccomend guys?

Well where to start? Hmm okay so firstly just like the title says, I'm looking for Sggestions/opinios on what GPU to get for my new build (please no bias or trolling replies).

Secondly a little info about my new rig/build/setup to help in your opinions.

(CASE): - ThermalTake Core P3

(MOB): - Asus Crosshair VI Hero X370

(CPU): - Ryzen 7 1800x

(HSF): - Corsair Hydro Series H110i AIO

(RAM): - Corsair 16GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400MHz

(PSU): - EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G3

(SSD): - Kingston 1TB

(GPU): - Asus GTX580/DCII/2DIS/ 1536MB (very old gpu I know, has done me proud up until now)

So anyways am looking for a decent gpu to replace my old gtx580 so I can put her back in my old rig and have her as a spare/backup...

Please take into account b4 you suggest: On my new rig I'm never going to overclock it, I'm happyily using 1 screen (my 60 inch samsung 4k tv) so I'm not going to ever use SLI or Xfire, I'm never going to do video editing or graphics design and I'm never going to mine bitcoins.

I just strictly want a great gpu that will handle any game up to date on max settings, stably at 60 fps or more. I want it to be able to play games such as Mass Effect Andromeda with no issues on max settings, not that I wanna play MEA but believe it or not my gtx 580 has handled any game you can mention on max settings at 60fps up until MEA which is what ultimately made me build a whole new rig.

Thanks for reading, sorry for the unnecessary essay and thank you in advance for your feedback.

Hi Sjf2k17

If you're gaming at 4k resolution a 1080 Ti is the best you can get (except for the Titan Xp) and at 4k even they won't run every game at max settings at a constant 60 FPS.

Some games yes all games no.

Thanks for the feedback I'm not going to be playing any games or movies in 4k I just got the tv cuz it was a bargain haha. The TI seems too overpriced for me right now considering the standard gtx 1080 can hit close to its benchmarks with the ryzen 1800x (although that's what this - http://www.userbenchmark.com/System/Asus-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/50859 - site shows. Any other recommendations please?

What resolution will you be playing games at ?

At my current highest native resolution which is 1920x1080. I know my tv is capable of scaling more but it's only detecting 1920x1080 because of the HDMI cable I'm using. I do have another HDMI cable that detects higher but it makes all the writing in games or on desktop kinda hard to read even when I mess with font settings and it also lowers the maximum refresh rate settings.

A GTX 1060 would do well.

Thanks again for the feedback, it looks like it'll do what I need for now. So will the gtx 1060 deffo piss on my gtx 580? I know it's silly to ask in most people's eyes but people are so quick to judge older components and jump to the conclusion that newer is always better. Ok so lastly, should I go for the ASUS 6GB, EVGA 6GB, MSI 6GB or the Gigabyte 6GB edition of the GTX 1060?

After looking for a bit this is the cheapest one I've found, they'll all perform basically the same so I'd go for the cheapest one.

They're all good brands you listed.

This one is only 3GB, you can go for a 6GB one if you like. 3GB could be pushing it with some games.

1080p low-medium -> 1050ti - rx460

1080p high -> rx 470

1080p ultra -> 3gb or 6gb 1060 - rx 480 (580)

2k ready -> gtx 1070

4k ready -> gtx 1080

4k -> gtx 1080ti

also dont buy nvidia 900 series or amd 290-390 series.

they are old. maybe performance is good. but old.

and also. wait for vega.

i know they re pretty f. up again. but prices will be balanced again when they release it.
