There is a fault with this BIOS causing 3b error on Boot = failure to initialise PCH
You Must enable CSM and boot into legacy mode = enabled in bios

Therefore I do not recommend anyone update till this is fixed, its a huge backward step and should be avoided

Everything else working ok?

Your CPU boosting the same or better?
Memory OCing good?
Has your memory latency improved with this AGESA version?
General stability etc??

Your CPU boosting the same or better?
At stock on CPU while testing memory, seems to boost to 4ghz all core boost while running mem test pro

Memory OCing good?
Running at 3200 cl16 and currently at 110% of mem test pro @ 1.35v will push further after 200% stability on mem test pro temp currently 57c
G skill trident z 3200mhz CL16 hynix -afr IC's 4x8gb

Has your memory latency improved with this AGESA version?
not tested yet, will test once finished Mem test pro

General stability etc?
Apart from breaking my SLI seems ok but it should be as I am @ stock testing memory

Took the plunge.

I appear to be boosting a little better now.

83574 83575

Confirmed with CBR20, as I beat my old multicore score, 7 points down on single core.

83576

Latency is unchanged / Auto DOCP 3200 / 4x 8Gb b-die
No doubt I could improve that a little with tighter manual timings.

For me don't see any improvement , maybe is time to switch to X570 chipset . I got worst result on Cinebench when setting in Bios are default except my memory OC to 3800mhz flck 1900. I go back with my setting on Bios manual OC to 43ghz cpu volt manual to 1.30v and LLC level4.

Hi everyone I've recently update my system with the ryzen 3800x and after a bit of tweaking I managed to get it run pretty smooth, I still have some problems since I swapped my 16 gb 3200 mhz ram with the 16/19/19/39 3600 32gb.
At the moment I'm running the 7306 bios and I have a couple of strange behavior

the first one is that when I turn off or restart my system. When the MB do so I'll get back the q-code 01 and I have to push the reset button to properly rertart the system.

The second one is related to the ram, the write speed is nearly half of what it's suppose to be
83877

I wondering what is wrong in my setting, ram timming are been modded but with the xmp/docp I have the same result.
Any help will be really appreciate.
Cheers

That's normal on a 3800X.

Sorry but what you mean with normal?
Looking at the result with the 3900x and even with the old result I use to have with the 1800x, they don't look that normal to me.

Cheers

It is normal on all single chiplet Ryzen 3000 CPU's, to see memory write speeds half the speed of the Ryzen 1000 and 2000 CPU's.
The 3900X and 3950X are not affected, as they have two chiplets.

So as I said, perfectly normal for a 3800X.

I've been messing around and tightening memory timings up on my C6E.
Not to shabby for DDR4 that is only rated for 3200/1600.

[EDIT]

Managed to get the 3900X boosting a little better via PBO.
Both my rigs are nicely dialed in now and are running stable.
