Unable to access UEFI BIOS settings

So I boot up my system, it hangs on the ROG splash screen (the one that prompts the user to press F2 or DEL to enter the BIOS settings) for almost 2 minutes before starting to load windows.
During all that time, even if I do press F2 or DEL, the system does not go to the BIOS screen. Nothing happens. What could be the issue?

I'm running Crosshair VI Hero, BIOS revision 1002 and ryzen 1800X

I'm coming from an FX build with crosshair V formula-z, and I gotta say I am very disappointed with my VI Hero.

Sorry to here your having issues with your Crosshair VI Hero. 😞
I too have come from an FX build and have made some direct comparisons with the FX-9590 and CVFZ.

You are in the early stages of the AM4 platform development and teething problems are to be expected during the early phases. It is expected that both RAM and CPU OCing will require a little Bios Tweaking manually to achieve stability. Devs are currently working hard with micro adjustments and also reliant on AMD for these changes.
It would be more helpful if you describe your disappointments and maybe some one can help. 😉

well, as the title suggests, I cannot access the UEFI BIOS settings. I don't think that's too much to ask for, even during early phases...

Old Problem it was not fixed ... look here https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?91843-Can%B4t-use-Bios-UEFI-with-Logitech-G510-keyboard

Asus can´t procure a keyboard ?? 😞

I had the same problem. In my case the solution was to change Display Port cable from graphic card to HDMI. That simple and that stupid at the same time.Â*

Worked in my case.

Sorry to resurrect this topic but i had the same issues when back then i updated my BIOS from an ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING mobo to the latest version last year on November around..Logitech G510 too!!!

The thing is that ASUS has now released a BIOS update for my board... There's ofcourse newer versions above the one i'm going to say, but this one, the BIOS 3402 says the following (Note: From 19/05/2017)

Versión 3402 2017/05/197.74 MBytes

Z170 PRO GAMING BIOS 3402
1. Fix keyboard can not enter into BIOS issue. (SteelSeries)
2. Fix M.2 NVMe SSD issue (Plextor)

....Yes, SteelSeries, but maybe it helps with all Logitech KBs?... The actual version is 3610 wich just improves memory stuff..

I won't update my Z170 PRO GAMING unless someone with the same board and Keyboard (Though now i use a Logitech G213) can dare to update their BIOS to the newest version (3610) and even record it working out... (Aka Access BIOS with newest update, with the keyboard, and in the same process show off the BIOS version...)

I'm having the same problem. cant access the uefi no matter what i do and it behaves just like in the opening post. I also now have the white VGA led light on all the time despite the gfx card working perfectly. installed new bios twice, reinstalled all the drivers and nothing worked until i reset the cmos today. whenever i reset the cmost i have to plug my monitors in using the hdmi ports only or the pc wont post. after the bios was setup i loaded into windows and everything looked like it ran perfectly no light and bios accessible, plugged in my DP cables and rebooted and no bios and white vga again. unplugged the DP cables and plugged in just the hdmi again and it ran perfectly.

see if you have the same result. its annoying but a work around. just a shame i reported this over a month ago to customer support and got no help. worst customer service ive ever had in my life and the last asus product i will buy.

good luck!

I also think it is a USB issue, with the keyboard or another USB device
