Strix B550-F Gaming (Wifi) stuck on DRAM led, BIOS flashback not working

Hi

I bought a used B550 board but I can't get it to POST. The yellow DRAM led stays on.

I have tried BIOS flashback both with and without a CPU but the led is not even lighting up.

I got it to sort of POST once when I was fiddeling with a pc speaker to try to see if there were beep codes, then the POST leds were lighting up and stayed on VGA and BOOT. I had no GPU installed at the moment so I turned the power off and connected a GPU thinking that the flashback might have worked after all, but I was just back at the DRAM led again.

Any suggestions?

I've tried with both a 3200G and a 5600X, both known working and a stick of Corsair 8GB RAM that also is known working (In all slots)

Regards

Hi infinipix,

try putting the ram into a different slot and also is the ram a lower mhz? sometimes the processor likes a higher speed ram

I took 12 years off of owning and gaming on a PC,
I'm back with vengeance

Hi @infinipix

1. Clear CMOS via the button on the rear IO panel.

2. Insert 1 DRAM Module into slot A2

3. Reseat the CPU and cooler and inspect the socket and CPU pin-pad for any debris or damage. Ensure even consistent mounting pressure. as per cooling vendors' instructions.

4. Retest and report back
