I'd love to get your thoughts on this audio issue I'm having.
Replaced my aging yet excellent HyperX Cloud II headset with a new Cloud Alpha in Spring 2023. Note Cloud II connects to the computer via standard USB, and the new Cloud Alpha connects with twin-pin audio jacks.
After 5 or 6 months the right headset earpiece started to cut out. Tried the rear motherboard audio connectors as well, but same issue.
Suspecting the headset, worked with HyperX and they replaced the Cloud Alpha headset. However, the same issue persists with the Cloud Alpha's replacement, which is the right earphone cuts out during Sim racing (ACC), and I'm no longer suspecting the headset.
While waiting for my replacement Cloud Alpha headset I used my old Cloud II headset which connects via USB and it works fine.
Is it possible that the Cloud Alpha's earpiece is cutting out because of an issue with the Strix B550-F WiFi motherboard, with the audio circuitry supporting the twin-plug connector, because that's what the symptoms suggest?
