If you are seeing a picture out of the video card that means that the video card is working. It might be a software issue and not a HW one. I would suggest for you to install the drivers from http://www.geforce.com/drivers . That page has the latest NVIDIA drivers for your graphics card. Your answer suggest you a hard disk from one pcc and moved it to another. If that's the case drivers from the old hardware might be conflicting with the new ones. You can boot in safe mode and delete the drivers that are causing issues but I will suggest you reinstall the os.

What bios version you have?
Why you exchange the mobo? (2 mobos with the same behavior might mean the mobo is not the problem,)
