Rog Strix B550-I Gaming no boot

Hi,

I just finished a new computer assembly with a Rog Strix B550-I Gaming.

The card is powered, the rgb lights from the jack connections are on.

I flashed the new bios (2803) with BIOS FLASHBACK. Seems to work, green led is flashing a few minutes and stops.

Unfortunately when I press the power button nothing happened. No fans turning, no QLED'S blinking on the motherboard.

I tried, CMOS reset, change power cables (CPU and sta for the aio), start the mobo with a jumper between PWRBTN pins.

The computer configuration :
- Power Corsair SF750
- Ram Crucial Ballistix BL8G36C16U4BL.M8FE1
- GPU Nvidia RTX A2000 12Gb
- Processor Ryzen 5900X
- Case Hyte revolt 3
- Aio NZXT Kraken X53
- Hard drive Firecuda 530

Could somebody help me please ?

IF the CPU is defective, the motherboard will still spin up, in my experience (fans,etc)... My judgment may not be good based on the data you have provided, motherboard... It looks like trial and error right now... Replace the motherboard first, and if the new one still causes the problem, move on to the CPU. Before putting everything back together, I would spend a few dollars on a stock cooler to test it out.

Merci zizipetasse for your answer 🙂

The problem is solved, thanks to read all the thread...

Run only one RAM module In the proper DIMM slot see if it will boot.

I did.

I was in contact with Asus support.

They told me to test the mobo :
- with the processor, one RAM module and the graphic card : no boot, no Q-LEDS.
- with the processor, one RAM module on one slot : no boot, no Q-LEDS.
- with the processor, one RAM module and change the ram slot : no boot, no Q-LEDS.

After I send the tests results, they told me to contact the vendor; there is certainly a problem with the mother board.

Hi,

I tested the processor this evening in another AM4 mother board, it's working.

So, I think my mobo is really bad...

Hi,

The vendor send me a new motherboard.

Everything is working !

I didn't flash anything this time as you told me.

I've flashed the bios with the first card because it was not working and I thought the bios was too old to support the Ryzen 5900X.

After booting the new card, I checked the bios version. It was the last version...
