Rog Strix B550-F: Unable to boot when changing SATA mode and setting up a RAID1 disk pair

Level 7

I had a B550-F with Windows 11 installed running with no problems, with an SSD for the OS and a HDD for data. I have attempted to add a pair of hard disks in RAID1 mode for data storage following the instruction from here

First odd issue I faced was that when I opened the “RaidXpert2 Configuration Utility” in Bios, the “Create Array” option was greyed out before I create any array. Anyway I selected “Delete Array” to delete the imaginary array and then   ”Create Array” to create one on the pair of disks. When then I saved the changes and proceed to booting I get the message “Inaccessible boot device” and the computer never started no matter how many times I tried.

Could you please advise how to resolve the problem.
