You need to install AMD chipset driver 18.50.16 before updating the BIOS.

Has anyone already tried it?

Not yet, I figure that since version 1201 works so well for me that I won't update my BIOS until I see some features added that will benefit me.

I personally am still using 1201 because it works well for me, even with my RAM OC'd to 3400 MHz.

"New BIOSs with AGESA 0070, 0072 released by multiple manufacturers for B450, X370, X470 motherboards
Adds support for upcoming Zen 2 processors. It's also near 2MB larger than previous BIOSs. According to the article some manufacturers are using 0070 and some are using 0072, and that another update to 1.0.0.0 may be inbound shortly before or after the Ryzen 3000 series gets on shelves."

i'm confused with my ryzen7 2700x on my b450-f, bec. it have a higher temp reported by AI suit after waking up from sleep... normally my idle temp is around 37c to 40c but after waking up from sleep, idle temp bumped up to 48c to 50c. i'm really confused about this. issue started after i updated my bios to 2202. 😞

Try a different temp reader such as hwinfo (sensors only mode).

Do you guys know how to disable spread spectrum on this mobo? I can't find the option anywhere

Has anyone tried the new bios? 2301 firmware changes

Not yet.
What is the meaning in "firmware change"? Are there any release notes, changes or something?

I would guess it means they updated to the newest AGESA from AMD to support the new Ryzen 3000 series CPUs.
I personally won't update past 1201 until I get a Ryzen 3000 series CPU since 1201 is very stable for me with my OC'd 2600 and OC'd RAM.

I have difficulty using the Ryzen 5 3600X with memory CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 (2x8GB 3000Mhz) does not work in dual channel, only single using slot A1 and A2. If I try using both memories in any other position, it doesn't work for me. BIOS 2605 (Sorry for my english)

Did the upgrade on beta ABBA, now I see all cores boosting to 4200 on stock settings. Activate C-States on BIOS, Memory OC stable at 3600.
Anyway, i left it all on stock, since PBO, AutoOC+200 and CPB just gave me +50mhz in my best core and got me higher voltages and higher minimum frequencies.

Looking at minimum voltages, pretty good. Ranging from 0.2 to 0.9 lol
