I installed Bios version 2704 on my B450-F Gaming motherboard and, just like with version 2605, my system will fail to boot every other restart claiming memory problems. To make the story short, it's not the memory, it's the Bios. Re-install 2406 and the system works normally again.

Same problem. On version 2605, the yellow LED, on version 2704/2801 is red, it only works stably on version 2501. Raw BIOS, new versions should do better, but in the end only worse. The problem is only with the xmp profile.

BIOS 2704 is working Very well for me with my new 3700x installed.
I have not had any issues with it so far.

I personally didn't notice any difference compared to the previous 2605, they both seem to work exactly the same, which isn't a bad thing but i expected better results.

Official ABBA BIOS is available:
Version 2801

ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING BIOS 2801
1.Update AM4 combo PI 1.0.0.3 patch ABBA to improve system performance

It seems to be working well so far, my Max Boost is hitting 4.425 GHZ single core (it was 4.4 Ghz) and 4.125 to 4.250/4.275 all core depending on load.
My idle temp dropped from 32-34c to 30-32c and idle voltage dropped from .9v to .3 to .5v (according to CPUz).
Ryzen Master still shows my idle voltage as .9v.

Hello. I had a version of BIOS 2501. When updating BIOS to version 2704/2801, the computer does not start, the red LED is on. I press reset, and the computer starts, that is, the computer starts on the second attempt. On version 2501, there is no such problem.

Then Asus has apparently NOT fixed the problem of booting every other attempt. It is a problem that you will experience with any ROG Strix B450F-Gaming Bios version newer than 2501.

They probably will never fix this problem.

I have the same issue with with BIOS 2801 and 2704, the red led staying on while trying to boot my new Ryzen 3600x. I have installed the latest chipset driver while I had my r5 2600x installed along with the BIOS update to 2704. After no luck, put my 2600x back in to try the 2801 BIOS, same issue with trying to boot. Then when it did decide boot after a few restarts, I got a Windows blue screen after the post screen saying I have to reinstall Windows. 3rd time I put my 2600x back in to try a different BIOS, 2501 seemed to boot my 3600x without any issues. Now I can't play Destiny 2 because it won't launch...fml Asus

Mine Boots fine every time with BIOS 2801 (2704 worked fine for me as well).
It does take longer than I'd like but that's the only issue I have with it.
I have 16 GB G.Skill TridentZ 3200 (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) and I use the DOCP (XMP) profile.
What RAM are you using, is it on the QVL ?

EDIT:
PVR416G320C6K is Not on the QVL which could be the reason you have that issue.
Have you tried setting it to a lower speed like 2933 and see if that helps ?

PS
I tested a 2666 Patriot Viper Elite kit (PVE48G266C6KGY) and it worked fine even though it's not on the QVL.

PSS
RED LED = CPU Error
Yellow LED = RAM Error

I don’t understand anything 🙂 I set the xmp profile to 3200, set it to 3266, and everything starts the first time. The strange situation at 3200 does not start, at 3266 yes. Probably a bios error
