Garbage BIOS. AB is buggy, which is why AMD released *TWO MORE REVISIONS* after that in rapid succession.

I don't know why ASUS is giving us ancient AGESA revisions, when every other board manufacturer, even MSI and ASRock, seems to be getting new, working, AGESA revisions to their customers. What the hell is taking so long?

Gigabyte a320 boards got abb faster than Asus got it on x570 lol.

Hi there, I am new here. I have just built a rig with Ryzen 5 3600 with B450 Strix-F. On latest bios 2605. All core boost clock (PBO + auto overclocking) is only 3950Mhz during CPU-Z stress test and Aida64 stability test. single core boost also never goes beyond 4100Mhz. However i can manual overclock to all core boost clock of 4200MHz with voltage of 1.4V, Aida64 stable for 30min. Something is wrong with the latest microcode. Hopefully there is a fix soon.

P.S forgot to mention i am using 360mm AIO and my CPU temp is good. Max load while on PBO + auto overclocking was only 72C. Hence the PBO is definitely not limited by the temp.

Hello Guys,

If anyone here runs ECC ram on the ROG Strix B450-F, please share with us in this thread

Thanks!

Hello Team:

I was wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this. When I do a driver or BIOS update, my computer will reboot and then hang at the red LED light. I have waited to see if the computer will reboot again, patiently, as some updates need to do, but nothing. I have to hard power off/on to get the computer to boot up. After this hard off/on, the computer boots normally. Is this a Ryzen 3000 bug? I've never seen an Asus ROG board behave like this.

Out of the last ~5 BIOS updates, only 1 one of them has been worth a ****, probably related.

same here, just run some benchmarks, multi core all core boosts 4100 and single core cant get past 4100. Temps under 75 all the time

My ryzen 2700 would boost 4100 single and 3475 multi, thats a more reasonable behavior temp/power wise

Hi, I am running the Ryzen 5 3600 on the Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard. I experience the best performance if I do not enable PBO + AO. With these not enabled all cores boost to 4200MHz under load and stay there almost 100% of the time. If I enable PBO + AO and set everything to the maximum values, between 1 and 3 cores will intermittently boost to 4300MHz, but the other three will drop well below the stock 3600MHz speed.

If you are running software that benefits from a higher MHz single or dual core, PBO + AO may be best for you. I prefer having all six cores running at 4200MHz.

I did not do anything special in the bios, no overclocking of anything. All I did was set my memory speed and memory voltage.

Thanks for the Information.
I am going to be installing a 3700x on my B450-F later today or tomorrow.
So I just updated the BIOS from 1201 to 2704 one BIOS at a time and even with my 2600 still installed everything seems to be working as well as it did with BIOS 1201.

I installed Bios version 2704 on my B450-F Gaming motherboard and, just like with version 2605, my system will fail to boot every other restart claiming memory problems. To make the story short, it's not the memory, it's the Bios. Re-install 2406 and the system works normally again.
