Rog crosshair vi hero (wi-fi ac)

I am currently getting the components i need to build a new computer and have decided to get the ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO but i have a few questions for asus

1. when will ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO (WI-FI AC) be available for purchase and for how much$
2. will the wi-fi module be available separately and when will it be available and how much will it cost
3. will the wi-fi module be compatible with the ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO (none WI-FI AC)

Those are all nice questions. We have been asking ourselvs too since the ac announcements.

yes i know about thoes but i dont wand to have to stretch the wires out just to reach the i/o panel when inserting the mother board into my case

I think it is silly of Asus to add these slots to motherboards; without either providing the modules and antennas with the motherboard or making them available at retail.

The non WiFi edition mobo and WiFi edition are same mobos, Elmor (Asus MB R&D guy) is finding out if module can be made available for purchase, link.

I don't personally see the point, Non wi-fi is more secure anyway!:confused:

yes i know that they are the same but the the wi-fi module on the (wi-fi ac) version the antena studs are not connected to the i/o plate

well it both wi-fi and Bluetooth
and you can disable wi-fi and still use Bluetooth (on most adapters)

but the big reason besides what i said to gupsterg is 5that you do not need to use any of your pcie and usb ports for wi-fi or Bluetooth
