Another new BIOS rolls out, but I can't find much information on what's different besides AGESA.

Has anyone tested this one yet?

Have downloaded and had it running for about 3 hours so far no issues, i did have 4001 running prior to this though and it was also fine.

I quote you, same upgrade 4001=>4002. They seem identical.
I'm testing my RAM OC at the moment, can't say nothing about boost ad frequencies.

I updated yesterday my X570-F motherboard and my performance is slightly worse, around 100 points less in CPU-Z.

same as 3904 bios it has max 1.425 vcore voltage bug on PBO curve optimizer settings. This means your boost clocks will be lower than before and get less performance.

More results in Cinebench 20, all BIOS parameters in default except for DOCP DDR4-3200:

BIOS 4021 (AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.3 Patch C): 7927
BIOS 4203 (AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.6b): 7820

I would like to bring some hope about all of this. Please don't flame me.
I actually got better scores on AGESA v1.2.0.5 onward, due to the 1.425v max vid when EDC is higher than 140.

That is because the lower cpu voltage promotes lower thermals and seems to allow the pbo curve offsets to be lowered more than before, while keeping stability.
As a sample, I posted the BIOS configuration I used at post #9929 in this thread: here (obviously you will have to change ram timings/pbo curve/peripherals depending on your hardware and usage)

I also got a 9250/656 in CBR20 with AGESA 1.2.0.6 and my 5900X on a C8F with Win11, so it looks like both singlethreaded and multithreaded scores are improved on the new AGESA.

After some checks, it seems to me that, up to the best AIOs available on the market, you are still better with the newer AGESA due to the lower thermals.
While if you have a custom loop that is already able to keep your CPU at, or under, 60/65 degrees under load, you already had no problems with thermals and so the new AGESA version does not provide better results.

Best thing imho would be for AMD to have the lower cpu max voltage as an option in the BIOS so anyone can set it to suit his configuration.

Today I updated my ROG CH8 Formula to the latest BIOS version 4004 with AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.6b.
These BIOS FIRMWARE flash times are taking longer and longer every time !!!
Version 3904 ran with no issues for me.
I am using 64GB (32GB x 2) G.Skill Ripjaws V (F4-3600C16D-64GVK) setup at 1.450V on DOCP settings.
AMD R9 5950X CPU liquid cooled and AMD RADEON RX 6800XT liquid cooled with an EXWB custom loop.

I can't say exactly how long it took to update the BIOS but it seemed like it was almost a full 5 minutes.
On the restart the AURA Firmware was updated too.
The AURA Firmware update introduced a big that kills the ARGB header.
