Hope you can help with a dead system diagnostic.
I've got here a ROG Strix B550-F Motherboard paired with a Ryzen 9 5950X and 4x 8gb DDR4 RAM sticks. with a basic GPU in the PCI express slot, I power up the PSU, the LEDS under the heatsink covering the VRMs(?) by the I/O ports illuminates, I short the power switch and the connected fan spins up and.... nothing. Keyboard lights don't come on, the diagnostic lights on the motherboard remain dark and no output to the screen.
Trying to work out where the issue is... the CPU or the RAM, or the motherboard. The GPU has been tested in another laptop and works. I've tried each stick of RAM individually in slot B2, no life in the system. Sadly I do not have a spare CPU or motherboard to try.
From reading the manual I think if the CPU, RAM or GPU were bad, I would expect the Q-LEDs to light up to tell me what the issue is, so if it isn't this suggests the motherboard is faulty? Thanks in advance!
