Random Crashes on A2 Error Code ROG Crosshair VIII Hero

Hello,

Every couple of days, today was twice in one day, my computer will just crash horribly and I look over at the Error code and it says A2, which is normally an issue with the drive from the research I did online about this.

I am on windows 11, and I do have various SSDs, and HDDs attached to the computer but it runs totally fine for sometimes two or three days before randomly crashing. Do you guys think I just need to flush my OS and reinstall to see if that fixes it because this seems like an OS issue more then a BIOS issues but has anyone else had this happen?

If the system is crashing in the OS and rebooting to A2 this does suggest an issue with a storage device. You'd have to test these independently for health using the manufacturer's tools if possible.

I think I got it fixed. I reformatted and reinstalled my OS which I believe fixed the problem. I updated from windows 10 to 11 recently so maybe something from that broke something important.
