Hello,
I've just completed my new configuration using the ROG Helios case, and I'm puzzled by the fact that I can't seem to get the four USB 3 ports on the top of the case to work properly.
Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the motherboard has USB 2 port connectors, which seems somewhat outdated for 2021. As a result, I'm only able to get the USB C port working and two out of the four USB Type A ports, leaving the last two non-functional. This is quite disappointing, especially considering the high-end reputation of the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard.
I'm hoping someone can provide some guidance or a solution to this issue. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated."

Hey juditrjones,
Have you tried this connector (#10, circled in the image) on the motherboard? According to the manual it's a USB 3.2 Gen 1 header, which might be what you're looking for to connect the 4 USB3 ports on your case

USB 3.0 20-pin Header Male to USB 2.0 9pin Female Adapter Converter Cable. If used two headers will work as USB 2.0.
