PWM fans will randomly (but rarely) jump to 100% in windows and not come down

I've had it happen three times now - nothing to point to - but my fans will spin up to 100% power.

all temps are normal / sub ~30c

fans set to pwm in bios on "silent" mode so they shouldn't even be kicking in untill 60c

rebooting does not fix it - i need to do a full shutdown

is anyone else experiencing this?

(i am using 2 fan hubs)

the latest from 2018/04/19 - version 0509 - (which oddly shows up as 0601 in the bios)

I have had this happen too on a few occasions. I'm running BIOS 0601. Using Corsair ML Pros attached to Chassis fan_1 and Chassis fan_2. With AIO pump/fan attached to CPU_1. I chalked it up to some sort of random glitch. My temps at the time like the OP, were below 30c.
I should add that I am also using a fan hub (powered) with 3 ML fans connected attached at Chassis fan_2
