I've spent three last 3 days trying to get a higher throughput out of my 2 MP510 4TB Gen 3 SSD. I was finally able to make both RAID on my motherboard work and Windows Software RAID (storage space) and both give no more than 3500 MBPS, much like a single drive.
I don't get it. The SSD are currently on PCI X16_1 port in raid mode, my main OS SSD is a Gen4 on M2_1 near the CPU. Normally everything goes to the CPU PCIe lines. I've moved the SSD on all possible places and always get the same performance.
I expect to reach at least 5000 MBPS with that setup in the different benchmarks and file transfer test to/from the Gen4 SSD.
Any idea?
