Hi, everyone. This is a specific Memory Overclocking page for all the users who are using G.Skill DDR4-3600MHz Timing 16-16-16-16-36 16G(8Gx2) memory. No matter which model you buy, please come here to post your memory overclocking setting if yours is 3600/Timing16-16-16-36.

For my setting, I can get my DRAM speed at 3200Mhz without BCLK overclocking. BIOS version 9945 is the beta 1.0.0.6 AGESA. Timing is 14-14-14-14-34. DRAM voltage is 1.395V. CR=1T. Other setting didn't get changed. Anyone get higher speed?

Once I got my DRAM overclocked at 3466MHz with all secondary timing settings according to SPD information. You can get your SPD information at BIOS→TOOL→SPD or use Thaiphoon by clicking "Read". For me, I have these SPD XMP Info: 16-16-16-16-36, Trc_SM=52, TrrdS_SM=7, TrrdL_SM=9, Tfaw_SM=44, Trfc_SM=631, Trfc2_SM=469, Trfc4_SM=289.

SOC : 1.155v
RAM : 1.375v

16-16-16-36-1T (BIOS 9945)

I can get my DRAM speed at 3333 Mhz without BCLK overclocking

Can you say more details about all your specific settings like voltage, BIOS ver and Proc?

Here is my new stable setting to get DDR4-3466MHz:
Memory: G.Skill F4-3600C16D-16GTZR
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair VI Hero X370
BIOS: 9945
Memory Frequency: 3466MHz
DRAM Voltage: 1.49V(Get 1.50V)
SOC Voltage: 1.18V(Get 1.177V)
ProcODT: 60ohm
Command Rate(CR): 1T
Timing: 15-15-15-15-35(Get 16-15-15-15-35)

And also check BIOS - Tool - ASUS SPD Information, get Trc_SM=52, TrrdS_SM=7, TrrdL_SM=9, Tfaw_SM=44, Trfc_SM=631, Trfc2_SM=469, Trfc4_SM=289. Then type these numbers and apply these timing settings.

Finally, I got my PC stable at 3466MHz with 16-15-15-15-35 timing!!!! Cheers!!!

I have the same kit as ROG yc2 - G SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB : F4-3600C16Q-32GTZR (8GX4=32G / B-die / 20nm)
XMP Certified: 1802 MHz / 16-16-16-36-52 / 1.35 V

My setup:
Asus Maximus IX Formula (bios 0906)
7700k (No Delid) @ 50x 47uncore 1.365v 24/7. 51x overclock for benching but requires 1.43v for stabilty
All manual overclocks till Asus releases a bios that doesnt suck, then I will figure out my adaptive OC's

Right now Im at 3833mhz 16-17-17-37 2N (16-16-16 36 posted and benched but produced an error in HCImemtest)
Dram Voltage - 1.40v
VCCIO - 1.2125V
System Agent - 1.2375v

So far 4000mhz no boot but have only tried with up to 1.43v

For some reason I havent been able to post with command rate @ 1N @ any speed? Any suggestions
Also my kit will not work consistently using XMP, it requires 1.38v and/or Mode 1 to boot without an occasional code 55

Running F4-3600C16-8GTZSW at 3466 with 14-14-14-14-34, DramV 1.4, Dram Vboot 1.4, SOC 1.15, 960 for CLDO_VDDP, 60 for ProcODT. I should mention that I am using the 9943 bios. Below is my complete timing information and latency.

guys, can you compare effectivity of RAM/timings also in Superpi 32M?

ok so i'm new at this so this confuses me a little bit. i thought this board could only run a max of 3200, so i bought 3200 ram.
i was pretty sure when i got it that overclocking ram was possible, but i thought that the mobo max was 3200? if we can take this mobo faster than how much faster can we run our ram?

The fastest memory frequency you can achieve with the Crosshair VI is basically a result of 4 variables:

1. The specific memory modules you have - not just the rated frequency, but the timings and most importantly, the actual chip type they contain. Currently, Samsung B-die chips are best for Ryzen. Also the number of sticks you are using and the density impact things. In other words, two 8GB sticks are easier to overclock than 4 sticks of 16GB.

2. Your particular CPU, by which I mean how your CPU turned out in the silicon lottery. There is variance in how well a specific CPU will overclock, and how well it will handle higher memory frequencies. These two characteristics are not the same, as some CPU's will overclock well, but not handle memory overclocks well, and vice versa. For Ryzen, a golden CPU is one that does both at a high level.

3. The UEFI / bios version you are using. Progress is steadily being made both in ironing out issues of this board, as well as incorporating the Agesa updates from AMD. I am currently using 9943.

4. Your knowledge, skill, and patience in manually tuning your UEFI settings relating to memory for this board. If you need help with this, I highly recommend the "ROG Crosshair VI overclocking thread" and the "[Official] AMD Ryzen DDR4 24/7 Memory Stability Thread" at overclock.net.

To give you a general response, right now I am running my memory at 3466 MHz. I can boot into Windows at 3600 MHz and do general use, but it is not fully stable. I'm hoping things will continue to improve with each UEFI version. The memory dividers going all the way to 4000 MHz in the latest beta bios versions (9943 and 9945) are certainly tantalizing. Also remember that you want the highest stable memory frequency you can achieve WITH decent timings. Sometimes stepping down a tad but making gains in timings can actually give you better performance.
