I tried it on my crosshair viii hero and immediately started getting WHEA errors even after clearing the cmos and leaving everything at default settings, went back to the previous version and reloaded my saved profile and everything was back to normal.

I have been wary of this update. I normally get all updates whenever they release, but it seems it can have a little performance penalty, but probably nothing I would really notice. I was hoping to see someone do a review on amd 570 platform with either a 5800x3d or 5950x to see if it's worth updating or not. See the article below, it's most likely best to update.

Now while I like to keep updated on security, this just seems to be a local exploit that isn't very likely to be exploited on home computers, unless you get a lot of malware and even then, it's not currently being exploited, but who knows. I am not worried about it as I don't ever get malware or spyware, let alone virus's.

Phoronix is awesome and has a well documented benchmark results. I know AM4 is kind of forgotten about and I may or may not see zen 3 benchmarks to decide if I want this bios update or not. Maybe i'll wait for an agesa update or something else.
