Well, it works just the original, the 4901 amended does not work, yet the 4804 amended if it works, when overclocking the pc gets caught and the screen goes black, and the settings that I have in 4804 is the I do the same in 4901, but does not work and have tried several times and nothing.

I can confirm that the modded 4901 does not work with overclock as well on my R4E. I get a black screen right after I change settings in Bios. Reverting to modded 4804 works. And also the orginal 4901 (asus original) works as well. Just not the modded 4901. I have been using the exact same overclock settings that I used with all previous Bioses and even tried lowering some with modded 4901 but still get a black screen.

Any idea or suggestions from either the creator of modded 4901 or anyone else will be greatly appreciated. Something in the modded 4901 is causing it I'm sure. Like always i use bios flashback method and tried reflashing using the same method but no luck so far. Any help will be appreciated. Like I said, the asus orginal 4901 works just not the modded.

Thanks!

Bolts4brekfast,

Updated bios with your sandy bridge microcode modded 4901 and I can confirm that the black screen issue is fully resolved. Thanks a bunch bro!! I needed the 4901 as it had resolved some of my usb issues. You might want to kindly post two editions of R4E bios...one with modded sandy bridge microcode and one for ivy bridge 🙂
Can't thank you again for all the work that you do for us for free lol You truly are a great asset to these forums and we sure appreciate your time and effort in helping us out. I mean it!
