(Linux) Asus B550 e Gaming bios 3202 causing USB 3.2 to disconnect until reboot

Hi all

With the most recent bios I've been experiencing a rather weird and annoying bug. All of my USB 3.2 ports would stop working until I rebooted, while slower ports remain active even when connecting devices which where previously connected to the 3.2 connectors. This only happened after upgrading to bios 3202. In bios 3002 doesnt exhibit this behavior. I've tried different distros (Fedora, EndeavourOS and Nobara) even through life USB and the issue still persist. Reseting bios and booting with factory defaults doesnt solve the issue.

The only way I could fix the issue is to downgrade to the last stable bios release for me, which was bios 3002. this is my current hardware config:

  • CPU: R7 5800x3D
  • RAM: 2x16GB RAM 3600mhz CL16
  • GPU: RX 6900XT
  • PSU: Seasonic Prime PX Platinum 1300w
  • OS: Fedora 38 workstation / Nobara 38 gnome
