Zen 3 har much tighter control of everything than Zen+/Zen 2, "helpful" bios settings just confuses it and as Zen 3 is extreme stable it almost never crashes with strange settings. It just lowers the performance.

Only settings of bigger interest is VDDP, VDDG and VTT which Asus notoriously sets wrong so you can't achieve a high memory overclock, just set those manual and you're good to go.

Oh. almost forgot, a BIG factor for Ryzen performance is temps as it scales dramatically when temps changes. Those with big scores have big cooling.

The thing is I´ve tried to leave it by default, then manually at 4.6GHZ and now with PBO/Auto OC and the results were quite similar. In fact, for example, running SOTTR benchmark with my RTX 2060 I used to get 99fps with the 2700X and now I´m getting 94fps (in a new clean Windows installation)
I´m new to Zen 3 and AMD OC in general. Would you be so kind and share your CPU configuration? Right now I have everything in stock, applied a mild OC to the memory (from 3466 to 3600) and PBO enabled, that´s it.

New bios version has been released. I hope there is no problem. Earlier bios versions had a sleep problem. The device was not going into sleep mode. Re-size BAR support has arrived. Maybe Pcie Gen 4 will open in the future. I hope 🙂

Woow! Thank you so much! As far as I can see, you were right, 90% of the settings are by default.

Two things that i´ve noticed:
1-You have SVM disabled
2-You have that ASUS Grid crap tool inyected in Windows by default.
Any particular reason?

Main difference is that your memory is 3800 CL16 and mines 3466 (18-22-22-48)...anything less that that and it start beeping like crazy.

Computer completely shut down. I turned it back on and it starts twice. It starts twice 🙂

Nevermind. The sensor appeared after a couple of reboots.

Since Version 4102 bios update when gaming i have sometimes Black screen of death and then on the Qcod i have it lit with "8"

im on a CH7WIFI + 2700x clocked at 4.3 + 16gb3200cl14 clocked at 3600cl15

i saw some people saying that error 8 could be ram, since i had it overclocked i reverted the clock back and still had the issue, still on 4201 im experincing less crash because of it
