Hello All,

I have been reading forums until I am cross-eyed. I want to make sure that the Samsung EVO 970 NVMe is running optimally. However, I cannot seem to find what the GEN 1, GEN 2 and GEN 3 settings are all about. Maybe a noob question, but is there a preferred set of settings in the C7H bios for the M.2_1 slot?

Regards, Dean.

Auto will work, or choose Gen 3. If you read the specs on your drive it will tell you what Gen it is

htree\root\0 driver thats the 1 thing has no driver what is it and where can i get its driver?

I've the CROSSHAIR VII HERO WIFI board on BIOS 3004, the "Restore On AC Power Loss" setting has never worked for me on any BIOS version. Setting the value of "Restore On AC Power Loss" to "Power On" or "Last State" does not have any effect (does not work as intended) when the AC power goes out and then comes back i.e. the PC remains powered off instead of powering on.

Can anyone confirm whether the option works for them?

Updated to 3103 a couple days ago on my C7H (non-wifi) and have had a stable system so far. I run a 25% overclock on my Ryzen 7 1700, just an auto overclock from the board. The only setting I adjust manually is ram voltage from auto to 1.35000 per recommend spec. On past BIOS I've only been able to run a 21% overclock and keep it stable. This update has been good to me so far, though I'll say I have used almost every update for the board and generally have not had many problems.

Anyone else getting qcode 8d post errors with bios 3103 (2020/06/23) ?

Going back to 3004 (2019/12/27) solves the issue.

Yes I am, had 8d numerous times but 99% of the time hitting reset on my tower case sorts it & the system boots properly, I also noticed my ryzen dram calculator overclock values cause bios post failure where as the dram overclock was 100% stable with the previous bios.

Thanks for confirming the issue, I'll just stay on the previous stable until another update is out.
Hopefully ASUS is aware of it and will fix it soon...

No problems at all with the 3103 bios, same settings as before, but I run the unofficial Beta that was posted at oveclock.net. I don't think there is any difference though.

@Shamino, any chance of getting the 0019 Beta-bios for C7H WiFi ported to "normal" C7H without WiFi?

Sleep issue is reportedly solved, and the new FMax is a killer feature, would like to test those.
