Just installed 128GB's of RAM but only 32GB's is recognized? ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING

Hi all,

So I just installed the "Kingston Fury Renegade RGB 32GB 3600 DDR4 CL16 (Kit of 4) Desktop Memory - KF436C16RB2AKA4/32" into my custom PC I built which has a ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING motherboard. All the RAM sticks clicked in perfectly and after booting for the first time I noticed all the lights are lit up just fine. Though, the BIOS and also Windows 11 Pro 64-bit doesn't recognize more than 32GB's of RAM. I have never had a problem like this happen to me and I have been using mostly all ASUS or ASROCK motherboards for the past 18 years. I am guessing this can be fixed with a new BIOS update maybe?, I did not want to screw anything up and I thought I would ask the professionals first before I update anything. The BIOS version I have is 2403 x64. I read the manual that's on the ASUS website but it only shows how to install the RAM which I already knew.

(I know the cable management really sucks and I will fix that in the future)

Should I update the BIOS one version at a time until the RAM is recognized?. Thanks.

Okay I just realized that I bought the WRONG RAM!!! how embarrassing lol. Thanks anyways guys now I have to return this RAM and order the right RAM!. So I had to order the right RAM from Corsair which was the CMW128GX4M4D3000C16 bundle and after installing all four RAM sticks it worked. The previous set that I had purchased was only a total of 32GB's which was a huge mistake. Cheers.
