ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO (WI-FI) BIOS 1302
1.Improved system performance
Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (C8HW.CAP) using BIOSRenamer.

Anyone brave enough to give this a try?

funny thing is even with 2666mhz running, everything feels quite ok. no slowness nor stuttering or anything to prove otherwise. hmmm might leave it as it is

serious everything except fb. every time video loads and there is a lag. so?

change the dram voltage to 3.7. It is the overzealous voltage of the mb that is kicking me to over 1.457 which is seriously wrong. i think 3.7v will push it down to acceptable numbers. later i check in bios again.

DAMN!!!!!

How is your network connected?
Did you switch Ethernet connection and see the lag again?
With my CH8F the Aquantia was a big source of trouble.
Back to Intel and Steam, FB, Gaming etc is stable.

actually never monitored the speed. so far no issues with the 10g nic only

Make sure your using the latest BIOS and in Windows (when you can boot) make sure you have installed the latest AMD chipset drivers.
Make sure you are using ram slots 2 & 4 from the cpu.

To enable DOCP please try this
85010

To use Ryzen Dram Calculator you need to identify the manufacturer of the ram with Thaiphoon Burner First. This video can give you basic idea, current version is 1.7.3 at time of post.

Yeah well 1.4 to about 1.5 volts is highest dram voltage so what is the 3.7 you refer to. Perhaps you confused this with 3.7ghz clock speed ?

Strange I always get a Qcode, which can help tell you what the issue is. Yours just hangs with no Qcode ?

Hope you find this of help.
