Hey ASUS STAFF and Software Team......

DelBoyJamie
Level 7
do you think we could get a updated AGESA 1.0.0.4 FROM YOU GUYS at some point for your flagship ROG boards, the ROG Crosshair VII WiFi etc still does not have a stable 1.0.0.4 update, when you have released this stable for other cheaper x470 boards like the Prime...

I've never owned ASUS, always wanted a ROG board but always very expensive, but I've always wanted a flagship board from ASUS (what a mistake)...

After years of having MSI and Gigabyte and getting sick of the terrible support and updates.
Always heard of the amazing support and continued updates on ASUS, after finally getting a great board the ROG CH7, I was so happy...... WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED in the last 12 months at ASUS, there is no staff ever in forums, the support well nonexistent, and updates? what updates, all other main board manufactures, Gigabyte, Asrock, MSI etc have all released AGESA 1.0.0.4 and several fixes after said update fixing issues and doing what the community asking for on all their boards new and old cheap and flagship.... what the hell happened here...
Look at every other board manufacturer plenty of bios updates and fixes https://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/f12/ultimative-am4-uefi-bios-agesa-ubersicht-23-12-19-a-122890...

This will be the first and only product I ever purchase from ASUS, I'm so disappointed
And its clear from the responses here on the official forums and other forums that ASUS what was once great is dead, and without the community and the great support and updates from staff and software team, no one will come back. I know I never will... I will be buying the flagship gigabyte board soon.... and as someone who is brand loyal and usually sicks with same guys for years as I have before for many many years, I wont be ever buying ASUS again, terrible support staff and responses, absolutely no communication with their community... really bad

Oh well you live and learn

Feedback on reddit doesn't seem good, saying this BIOS or the board belong in the trash

seriously? that is not a good news. im still using 2901 bios. do u have the link for that reddit?

ok maybe this is the link. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/eg8jnh/official_agesa_1004_for_the_asus_crosshair_vii/

oh man, im totally mad after reading all those comments. what a waste of my money buying this ch7 board. im just using it for only 8 month. the old issues is never been fixed!
i have waited for almost 2 month for it and hope every issues been fixed one by one but it doesnt! thats why asus so scared and taking so long to release the bios.

Sorry, my mistake. It's the new 3004. Board is X470 CH7 WiFi

Interesting, tried it with a 3700X and C7H 3004 BIOS in C20 all core test:
2801 score was 4767
3004 score was 4610
3004 + PBO enabled (from auto) + 0.075v undervolt score was 4912

Due to the undervolt, no cores now reach 4400mhz, before 2-3 did in desktop idle situations.

Also only reaching 4500MHz in desktop situations now (4550 previously). But overall performance seems to be higher with PBO and undervolt.

Tested FC5 New Dawn, which is very CPU limited on Ryzen 3000:

2801: 7217 frames rendered
https://abload.de/image.php?img=fc5ndoldpfjgb.jpg

3004 + PBO + 0.1v undervolt: 7631 frames rendered (+5%)
https://abload.de/image.php?img=farcrynewdawn_2newtbkm3.png

Could be a coincidence, for all I know. But you are also getting a 3% performance boost in CB20 with 3004+PBO+undervolt. So maybe there is something to this...
We'd need more data tbh.

Yeah it seems PBO + undervolt gives more real world performance where it's CPU intensive, just doesn't reach the advertised boost clocks. It seems also for a 3700X 0.1v undervolt and PBO Auto (not sure what auto is, might be 125-150) gave best R20 scores on all cores, but nothing special on single core.

Without PBO and UV in 20 mins of desktop and browsing, my cores stack up nicely, 2x 4400, 2x 4375, 2x 4350 and 2x 4300 but all scores are worse compared to 2801 and probably 2901 too (i skipped that one).

Using the AMD Ryzen Balanced plan, not sure if the 1usmus one is still better with the current chipset drivers.

I can understand the frustration, many time Asus is releasing software updates far from perfect
but on the other hand many inexperienced users spend so much time updating software all the time (even tho they don't need) and that will eventually lead to issues for the user
