F4-3200C14D-32GTZ ram on Crosshair VI hero 3200 MHz problem.

Hello,

I have a Ryzen 1800x, Crosshair VI Hero and G.SKILL 32GB 3200MHz Trident Z CL14 Ram. My issue is that I can't set the ram frequency to 3200 Mhz, system reset there is short beep and bios reset ram to 2133 Mhz. I have latest 1501 bios. Max ram speed that I can set is 2933 Mhz. Cpu is not overclocked, every setting is on auto except ram voltage is 1.35V and ram frequency is 2933 Mhz.

Here are my timings and cinbench score:

Is it possible for me to run these sticks at 3200 Mhz??? Will I have a noticable performance gain if I manage to set it to 3200 Mhz?

Pawemol12 precision boost is technology that is increasing one core clock if cpu cooling is allowing it.
In case of 1800x base clock is 3.6Ghz for all cores and precision boost clock for one core oath
of 8 is 4.0Ghz. Also there is XFR “Extended Frequency Range” if you have really good cooling
it will go to 4.1Ghz for one core

If you can do your overclock to 3.9/4.0 Ghz you are running “Precision Boost” all time for all cores.
Try to make overclocking close to or equal with “Precision Boost” Ghz and its win win 🙂

What voltage should I use? IS there any tutorial to do the p1 state overclock?

You will need to find those answer for yourself as each cpu is unique.
One in particular are you feeling comfortable with burring your cpu 🙂
Everything you read regarding voltage is guide lines.

I have managed to overclock the cpu to 3.9 ghz, anything above require to much voltage and get's too hot quickly. I have overclocked to 4 ghz but the cpu was 85 celsius degrees in stress (prime 95 small ft). Currently running at 3.9 Ghz frequency max temp I have got over 30 min prime 95 small ft test was 72 celsius degree. Of course I will do 8 hours of prime 95 small ft and a 12 hours of blend. for sure to confirm stability.

Stable options are your default choise.
XMP for Module Name G Skill TridentZ RGB F4-3200C14-16GTZR
@ 1600 MHz 14-14-14-34 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) / 48-560-416-256-8-6-39 (RC-RFC1-RFC2-RFC4-RRDL-RRDS-FAW)

Change voltage of ram to 1.35 than 1.4 if not stable/working.

Can anyone explain to me where i can find on the bios this settings 14-14-14-34 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) / 48-560-416-256-8-6-39 (RC-RFC1-RFC2-RFC4-RRDL-RRDS-FAW)

Hi,
Update/correction for “G Skill TridentZ RGB F4-3200C14-16GTZR”
It seems that AMD is not playing nice with dual rank memory “T2”
As AMD is scaling L3 cache speed with ram speed increase I when for following setup mentioned below.

Before:
67608

After:
67609

Set memory to DDR4-2933Mhz
Load The Stilts Fast 3200Mhz 1.4v 2xSamsung B-Die Single Side profile
Change Cmd2T to T2 and confirm that ProcODT_SM is on Auto

RAM voltage can be changed back to 1.35v

this results in faster L3 and bigger score in CINEBENCH

I have a question, I currently have 32 gb (see my specs) running perfectly at 2666 MHz and was wondering if anyone has fitted 64 gb memory sticks yet?

Let us know.

Thanks Simon.
