Dark Hero X570 32GB of Memory at 4000Mhz

Hello,

After reviewing memory_QVL I do not see many options for 32GB of Ram at 4000Mhz for my Dark Hero board. Has anyone purchased a 32gb Kit and made it work with this board?

If the memory is not on the QVL it doesn't mean it wont work.
Maybe other users that have bought similar kits can give feedback, don't take the QVL as your only source.
That said, if you want 4000Mhz ram, it's also important your IMC can handle it.
I've read that most Ryzen 3000 can't run above 1900 fclock without errors.

Cheers.

Please list your CPU to determine the specs for what Frequency the IMC can handle.

Your 5900x officially supports up to 3200Mhz

Yeah but he can get it up to 3800 at least, and there is a good change his IMC will do 2000 fclock.
The worst that can happen is that he has to decouple fclock, latency hit but it will run.

Cheers.

Hello,

This is official support for JEDEC 3200 and doesn't include overclocking.

The Dark Hero will do 4000MHz no problem, however, not all CPU will be able to run FCLK at 2000MHz unconditionally.

For the best compromise unless not constricted to a budget, look for kits rated for 3600-3800 in order to run a 1:1 ratio with the Infinity Fabric.

Thank you. Currently I have a 32GB kit running with an XMP profile of 3200Mhz. Sounds like 3800Mhz is the best best here. I wonder if I will even see an improvement in gaming. How would I go about setting up the 3800 Mhz kit at that speed? Is it XMP again?

Also, not restricted to a budget so what would be the 4000Mhz kit most people get since the QVL list has one.

Samsung b-die 3800 CL14 is best (assuming money is no object and can find stock).
