Crosshair VIII Hero/Dark Hero Aura LED issue with 4805 BIOS update

There's a thread that has been locked for further replies, which was discussing this topic (LED issues after the Crosshair VIII Hero/Dark Hero 4805 BIOS update):

https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/amd-500-400-series/aura-led-won-t-turn-off-after-bios-update/td-p/1004...

In that thread, a moderator has mentioned that a fix is scheduled to be released with the next BIOS schedule in August:

https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/amd-500-400-series/aura-led-won-t-turn-off-after-bios-update/td-p/1004...

Is this still on track for an August release?

Thanks!

Hi @Silent_Scone,

Could you please provide us with an update on this issue? August has passed, and no BIOS update has been released.

Guessing its going to be pushed for a while. I'm on bios 4602, does anyone that has 4805 still recommend it, or should i update to 4702?

Four weeks have passed since I asked this question, why can't we get an update on this?

There's this tread that talks of a late September/early October time frame for an AGESA bump and SinkClose. https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/amd-500-400-series/sinkclose-cpu-flaw-requires-new-agesa/td-p/1036165

One can hope the BIOS update also addresses the LED issue.

Currently looking for confirmation on this.

Any news?

4902 may be available and has an AURA firmware update that appears to fix the LED issue (at least the one I noticed on my CHVIII Wifi). Freshly updated so I don't know if anything else is affected yet.

"1. Updated AGESA to version ComboV2PI 1.2.0.Cc.
2. Resolved CPU exception when adjusting items like ""When system is in sleep, hibernate, or soft off states"" in certain languages.
3. Updated AURA firmware to version AULA3-6K75-0307."

I also noticed an option to enable Windows 11 LED control which worked (I'm goofing around with 24H2) but I disabled that BIOS setting for now.
