CrossHair VIII FOrmula: BIOS 2311 and 4 DIMM troubles

I had problems with my RAM (4x8Gb B-Die) until BIOS 2206... with any previous version the system was stable but Kharu RAM test failed.

Today I've given a chance to BIOS 2311, I struggled a bit but finally passed 4 hours of Kharu, I found stability setting in the BIOS the values of "Power Supply System" section from DRAM Calculator (which I didn't do with 2206).
When I rebooted the system, here's the bad surprise... the system hangs on "Test CMOS". If I power off and the on, I get "F9" code, then the pc reboots 3 times and finally I get control back (but have to go into the BIOS and load Safe Defaults).
Here are the values I entered from Power Supply System:

CPU:
LLC [Level 4]
Current Capability [140%]
VRM Switching Frequency [400]
Power Duty Control [T.Probe]
Power Phase Control [Power Phase Response]
Power Thermal Control [120]
Manual Adjustment [Ultra Fast]

VDDSOC:
LLC [Level 3]
Current Capability [120%]
Switching Frequency [Manual]
Switching Frequency (Fixed) [400]
Pashe Control [Manual/Optimized]

DRAM:
Current Capability [120%]
Power Phase Control [Extreme]
Switching Frequency [Manual]
Switching Frequency (Fixed) [400]

Other settings from Calculator:
DRAM Voltage [1.44]
SOC Voltage [1.1]
VDDG CCD Voltage [1.050]
VDDG IOD Voltage [1.050]
CLDO VDDP Voltage [1.050]

Any help will be VERY appreciated!!

UPDATE:
Quite the same behaviour with BIOS 2402 beta, on reboot I get error code 22 "detect HD", but if I reset via case button, the pc finally reboots.

HI Baio

Ryzen Dram calculator what RAM timings are you using from it and did you import them Thaiphoon ?

Hi, and thanks for your replay!
Values are imported using Thaiphoon, they are the "safe" option:

The only difference is DRAM Voltage, I need to set it to 1.44v to make them stable.

But the very strange thing is that RAM are ok under stress test (tonight it passed 12+ hours), the problems come out rebooting! I can't believe it's a matter of RAM values.

Hey, thanks for the information, makes it easier.

Suggest trying 1.15 or 1.125 SOC voltage and see if you get down to 1.42 to 1.4v than thought about another possile direction...

You can even just bump up to 1.5v for the RAM and leave SOC 1.1 (1.5v for the ram is safe) 1.5v is what my @3800 CL14 RAM runs by default anyway. This document might find useful https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/global.semi/file/resource/2017/11/8G_B_DDR4_Samsung_Spec_Rev2_...

The issue (suggests to me anyway) is that the memory controller needs a bump and hopeful we can adjust the RAM down a little was my first thought but maybe the RAM needs little more to be happy (which is my current thinking at boot/cold rather than first of the memory controller).

Hope that is to much of two different directions, just feel it could be either.

other things...
CAD Bus or may give better results and for Termination block or even the other way try ProcODT 36.9.

So, I tried every combination raising VSOC up to 1.125 and lowering DRAM Voltage from 1.4 to 1.2... no luck.
Got every time a different error in mobo's display (15, 23, TEST CMOS, detect HDD), with 1.125+1.44 I got BSOD while loading Windows (everytime it was something IRQ or HDD related). Finally I needed to load fail safe defaults to get Windows restored.

I have not understood what you suggested about CAD BUS values... do I have to try the valus you suggested along with the Voltage (SOC and DRAM) ones or are they independent?

Thanks again!

UPDATE:

Tried also CAD Bus and Termination Block values you suggested but still no luck... when the pc reboots I gets stuck on DETECT HDD error in mobo display.

Qcode 22 is memory code I thought something like 'OEM pre-memory initialisation'

Maybe try relaxed timings, like this and see if we get start point to tigthen up from

Some news...
Tonight I left the pc running all night long with PassMark MemTest (100% passed without errors) with timings as in my first post (except proODT 43.6 and CAD_BUS Block set to ALT2).
I also disabled SATA in the BIOS, as I have only Nvme drives.
Magically no reboot issue (tried several times)... when I last boot to come here and write about my glory, I got 3 consecutive BSODs while Windows was loading.

So I decided to try your relaxed timings (proODT and CAD_BUS set as above, all voltages as you wrote) but on reboot I got the pc stuck on "TEST CMOS" (one time it was "LOAD VGA BIOS"). Windows loading was always ok, no BSOD.

The more I try, the more I'm getting perplexed over and over... I can't see a logic in this behaviour.

EDIT:
Forgot to say that CPU/VDDSOC/DRAM section are always set as in the first post (according to Calculator's Power Supply System section).

EDIT 2:
Kharu RAM Test failed in 42m with 1.36 VDRAM, gonna try to raise it one step.

EDIT 3:
Found stability @1.37, reboot problem still there.
Waiting for new orders :-)*

With my 4 x B-Die and these newer BIOSes I was only stable at 2133 so I ditched 2 and am stable at 3200 14-14-14-14-28 now. The first step was still finding settings that were stable at 2133. I went from there. Have you found any stable settings with the new BIOS?
