Lootbox crap is vengeance, no way you can say what chip they use, whatever they have at the time with version sticker on it that hit said timings. I doubt you have any idea what you actually have unless you verified it yourself. Don't buy this crap and expect it to work.

I agree that it's not the best memory one can get, I've read your other posts on the subject.
The Vengeance kits can be differentiated by the version number 4.32 and the Ripjaws V that I use have a lot code ending in -10C.
If you have such a kit, most likely it will have Samsung C-die chips.
I'm not a fan of anything Corsair, not even their power supplies. But I do often use memory from G.Skill as they are pretty solid.

Cheers.

I'd like to see better UEFI support for 4 dimm dual rank. The new C-die Samsung won't go past 3000Mhz when using 4 dimms, while rated for 3200C16.
Those chips are also being used by Corsair in their Vengeance line.
Every UEFI I tried since I've bought the board has this issue.

Cheers.

I've given up trying to use 4 sticks for the moment... only solution I found.

I had all sorts of issues with 4x16 Trident Neo 3600's, but once I reverted to my 4x8 Single Rank RipJaws 3200 C14's I've been rock solid. But I agree for dual rank dimms, 4 seems to be problematic for most on these boards unless you slow them down. Hopefully it can get sorted as I would like to go back to 4x16 which unless using slow server based dimms is pretty much always dual rank. Otherwise I will look into 2x32's.

Just tried 2502 and it's a total disaster, I can barely boot the system with fail safe settings 😕

I can't even get 1900 FCLK with a 5900X. Latest bios on VIII Hero Wifi and 3800mhz c14 g.skill. Loaded DOCP changed FCLK to 1900 and I get an error of 07 or something similar on boot. Sad times.

but the performance was not the good on 2402 and high FCLK ,-) U can try it example in Superpi 32M test or GPUPi via CPU. High FCLK is not everything for performance. From my short experience with Zen3 (also Zen2) is find the FCLK DRAM sweetspot. Like FCLK 1866 MHz and tight memory timings (best set it all manually like secondary timings etc).
Also better to set SOC voltage manualy (for Zen3 example 1.05-1.07 for this FCLK). ANd no DOCP profile, but "manual" and everything set really at manual. DOCP is simply profile like XMP, but XMP is certified for Intel only. Not for AMD, so this is reason DOCP can not working everytime for users.

PS: Where is 0097?:) And Dark Hero Crosshair has now 2602 out 🙂

seen here but not available (yet) ;(

With 2502 the interconnect/bus errors are gone, but I get a bluescreen right after Cinebench R23 has finished with PBO on. If I turn it off, it finishes Cinebench without a crash. I'm using:

- 5900X
- Crosshair VIII Hero Wifi
- GSkill Neo 2x16Gb Cas 16 (Default DOCP profile selected, 3600Mhz)
- RTX 3090 FE

I have also had the random crashes before - event 41 and 18. Temperatures are fine.

Edit:
-Tried with fmax enhancer ON and it didn't crash but get worse scores in Cinebench R23 - 21286 stock, 20736 PBO on Fmax enhancer on.
- Tried with just PBO on under the PBO settings and didn't crash with Cinebench R23. Only seems to crash for me when I change the Max OC from Auto to 200Mhz. Max boost with PBO on like this is 4,950Mhz, which was the same I got at stock

" Tried with just PBO on under the PBO settings and didn't crash with Cinebench R23. " <--- This part, because your using PBO, you might be hitting limits on teh power draw, I had that problem with p95, SmFFT, with AVX too.. upped my LLC power allowance to 120% and that stopped.

May not be it, but R23 uses AVX, which may cause extra power draw. just an idea.
