C6H Test BIOS 0020 with AGESA 1007 (405200c4e299c1eed9a0044edec9aba51f37cee1d70caabe40b9485b0604521a)

In order to get back to an older version after flashing, you have to use USB BIOS Flashback.

C6H beta UEFI 1403

* Fixed W_PUMP and AIO_PUMP speeds during POST
* Fixed Fan tuning sometimes failing
* Fixed a few issues with AMD USB3.1 ports
* Some tuning on DRAM settings, let us know how they work for you. tRDRD_Sc is still at 5 above 3500 MHz as it helps with stability. For performance you want to force this to 1. We'll consider changing this in future releases as the performance impact can be quite noticeable in certain applications.

An update on DRAM Boot Voltage, currently it should be 1.35V by default if the DRAM Voltage is changed. So if you're setting DRAM Voltage to above 1.35V, you might want to sync this setting. Additionally there might be scenarios where you will have better luck by syncing DRAM Boot Voltage to DRAM Voltage even at lower values.




AGESA 1006 RC4 official UEFI 1401

Just tested quickly 3600 memory and cold booting, seems good but you guys are going to have to help me test this before we have a judgement. Seems CPU temp reading from SIO now has -20*C offset for XFR enabled CPUs.

Test BIOS 0079

Test BIOS with new AGESA 1004a, with a couple of bugfixes. Up to 5% performance increases in specific applications. Also has P-state overclocking working with BCLK increase. If you want to keep C-states, make sure to set Advanced\AMD CBS\Zen Common Options\Global C-state Control = Enabled. There are two new settings under AMD CBS\UMC Common Options\DDR4 Common Options\ you might want to take a look at, Fail_CNT and ProcODT. Fail_CNT decides how many times to retry when DRAM training fails (F9 -> 0d), default is now 1. ProcODT can help improve your DRAM overclocking. There's a setting available also on previous BIOSes under AMD CBS\UMC Common Options\DRAM Memory Mapping named BankGroupSwap. If you have 2x Single-Rank modules you can try setting this to Disabled and you might see some performance boost in certain applications.

Same as 0079 but has ProcODT default = 53.3 ohm

We are testing a new beta that uses a workaround to help with POST. Depending on how well that goes, it may be rolled out. There are other builds in the test pipeline also. All of this is taking time as the platform still has many quirks that need to be addressed.

Hi to every one that is writing news and helps for us in this forum. I use your tips for overclocking and get stable my system, especially I used the elmor guide posted on forum.hwbot.org. This is my system:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 1800X ( 39 X 100 Mhz= 3900 MHz - 1.350V manually in Bios )
COOLER: AIO Coller Master Nepton 280L
MOTHERBOARD: Asus Crosshair VI Hero ( Bios 0082 )
RAM: F4-3200C14D-16GTZ ( D.O.C.P. 3200 MHz - 1.350V manually in Bios )

Ryzen Master 1.01.0239 Temps between 19° C - 41°C ( Idle and Cinebench R15 )
HWMonitor information show my CPU between 1.264V - 1.330V, most of the time 1.308V ( CPU-Z too )
HWMonitor information show my SOC between 1.090V - 1.112V
HWMonitor information show my RAM between 1.308V - 1.352V, most of the time 1.330V

I'm using AMD Ryzen power balanced plan on Windows 10 64 bits.

In Bios Options the most functions are in AUTO mode.

My system is very stable at the moment, I use really 24/7 the last week without problems, no BSOD. But as you know If we buy this AMD Ryzen CPU and ASUS Motherboard is good reach the limits for maximum performance. So my question is what I have to add or change in the Bios like "External Digi+ Power Control" options for increase my Overclock to get stable 4000 MHz - 4100 MHz 24/7 use.

3900 is the sweet spot for this CPU. To get higher speeds you need to increase the voltage, and you start to see significant temperature rises and power draw. Keep it cool and efficient at 3900 and don't bother to get higher than that for 24/7.

As far as I know there are issues with the balanced power plan (unless those are already fixed), so go to "High performance".

running bios 0902 with the following :
1. cpu core ratio changed to 39.00
2. changed CPU core voltage to offset mode with CPU offset mode sign set to - instead of +
3. CPU load line calibration set to level 2.

as u can see in the screenshots of bioses of 0902 and 0082 there is a temp difference when running exactly the same settings listed above. i have also tried these on 1002,0079,0081,0083

also aswell running these settings on 0079,0081,0082,0083 the CPU core voltage in windows doesnt drop back either using the settings i have listed above.

this testing has been done using the latest verision of AMD Ryzen Master using AMD Ryzen power balanced plan and latest AMD chipset drivers.

also a question i wanna ask do u or any of the tech guys know what setting it is which controls ur core clock speed so it can step back ?

Probably by he end of the month but more likely sometime in May. They're trying to work on a huge memory compatibility patch. Patience is a virtue.

The Digi+ settings don't make much, if any difference, to stability for a 24/7 overclock.

Use the P-state software control tool that Elmor shared on OCN or set it up in UEFI. You have to set P-states up for power saving.

the P-state software control tool that Elmor shared on ocn does not work for me at all. using the OC settings i have listed in my previous post. surely these features / settings should of been sorted out by Asus before the CH6 got released ive gotta say for £250 MB im very disappointed in the amount of broken beta bioses getting released and how many of bioses have been released.

can u also explain these problems :
