C6H Test BIOS 0020 with AGESA 1007 (405200c4e299c1eed9a0044edec9aba51f37cee1d70caabe40b9485b0604521a)

In order to get back to an older version after flashing, you have to use USB BIOS Flashback.

* Added DRAM profiles for Samsung B-based DIMMs with tuned subtimings, including The Stilt's settings



C6H beta UEFI 1403

* Fixed W_PUMP and AIO_PUMP speeds during POST
* Fixed Fan tuning sometimes failing
* Fixed a few issues with AMD USB3.1 ports
* Some tuning on DRAM settings, let us know how they work for you. tRDRD_Sc is still at 5 above 3500 MHz as it helps with stability. For performance you want to force this to 1. We'll consider changing this in future releases as the performance impact can be quite noticeable in certain applications.

An update on DRAM Boot Voltage, currently it should be 1.35V by default if the DRAM Voltage is changed. So if you're setting DRAM Voltage to above 1.35V, you might want to sync this setting. Additionally there might be scenarios where you will have better luck by syncing DRAM Boot Voltage to DRAM Voltage even at lower values.




AGESA 1006 RC4 official UEFI 1401

Just tested quickly 3600 memory and cold booting, seems good but you guys are going to have to help me test this before we have a judgement. Seems CPU temp reading from SIO now has -20*C offset for XFR enabled CPUs.

Test BIOS 0079

Test BIOS with new AGESA 1004a, with a couple of bugfixes. Up to 5% performance increases in specific applications. Also has P-state overclocking working with BCLK increase. If you want to keep C-states, make sure to set Advanced\AMD CBS\Zen Common Options\Global C-state Control = Enabled. There are two new settings under AMD CBS\UMC Common Options\DDR4 Common Options\ you might want to take a look at, Fail_CNT and ProcODT. Fail_CNT decides how many times to retry when DRAM training fails (F9 -> 0d), default is now 1. ProcODT can help improve your DRAM overclocking. There's a setting available also on previous BIOSes under AMD CBS\UMC Common Options\DRAM Memory Mapping named BankGroupSwap. If you have 2x Single-Rank modules you can try setting this to Disabled and you might see some performance boost in certain applications.

It takes to much time, till asus keep this board up to date.

In the end, i can never recommend it.

One friend is going to build a new gaming pc, his 1st real gaming pc.

I told him to stay away from a asus mainboard, rather take one of the other, like MSI.

Asus should invest time into their support and make things done in time but it seems they either dont care or just cant do it.

They destroyed the ROG name for mainboards.

Beginning to believe the issues with the C6H is hardware based. Cannot believe the bios engineers are that incompetent. Going to give ASUS one more chance. AMD shocked all out of their complacency with intel. Time will tell how ASUS shakes out. If support is still lacking with the next set of Ryzen boards...they are on the way out and will be washing my hands of them.

Props for hanging in there so long! You have a lot more patience than I did with my Crosshair VI Hero issues. I hope Asus gets their heads out of their butts and comes around because decent competition in any market is a good thing. If they don't, you might want to look at the Gigabyte Auros X470 Gaming 7 WiFi. Although the latest F4 BIOS won't allow me to run 4 sticks of F4-3600C15D at 3,600MHz like I could on their F3 and F2 BIOS. 3,466MHz is still pretty darn good for 4 sticks and you also get dual BIOS's, which makes switching back to another BIOS version with all of your settings so easy.

I did some research into the other makes X370 bios support. MSI got 1.0.0.4A up Mid July. Gigabyte early August. AsRock.. not done yet. Asus not done yet. I saw alot of claims that the other makes had hugely better support and I'm not really seeing it. Maybe a touch faster but whats been delivered isn't substantially superior. However. I would like to see our bios done eventually gang.

Well asus seems to be the only one with their latest official bios turning off water pumps and fans. it should be pulled or at least a warning.

With 6201 my fans stopped working so far five times. The pump of my AiO isn't BIOS-controlled and kept working.
Luckely I noticed it immediately the first time it happened and so I set an alerting in AIDA64.

When the temperature exceeds a certain value than AIDA
• plays an jingle
• sends me an email
• shutdown the system

Since the first time this happened another four times.
This is an issue that potentially could destroy hardware and I am absolutely sure that ASUS know about this issue, but they do NOTHING!

I'm done with ASUS, my next motherboard will come from another manufacturer.
Perhaps there is one who offers his premium customers (who pay premium prices) premium support too (the hope dies last ;)).

I immediately reverted back to 6101 and have been fine. I however do not run a single fan on the mainboard headers so in reality it is irrelevant to me. I had other issues in the last bios and decided it was too beta. Everything has been relatively dandy on 6101 so I've been ok. I know the normal bios support from Asus has been completely disrupted by Intel having so many bugs in their processor and its design that they have to patch left and right. So many Intel bios's to fix. Every make has had worse AMD support then normal because of Intel and all their problems. I am not 100% to the write off Asus point yet. But I am getting annoyed. We should atleast hear them saying "we are still finalizing and testing the 1.0.0.4 AGESA for you its not ready yet." That would build some confidence. Also oh we found the problem with the fan controller and also will fix that. It would be a good start. Communication has been abysmal.

I have used ASUS Motherboards and ROG branded ones for a long time. The Crosshair 6 will be my last ASUS product.

Totally unacceptable that a motherboard can still not keep the CPU and other fan headers operational after this long and through numerous BIOS updates.
