C6H Test BIOS 0020 with AGESA 1007 (405200c4e299c1eed9a0044edec9aba51f37cee1d70caabe40b9485b0604521a)

In order to get back to an older version after flashing, you have to use USB BIOS Flashback.

* Added DRAM profiles for Samsung B-based DIMMs with tuned subtimings, including The Stilt's settings



C6H beta UEFI 1403

* Fixed W_PUMP and AIO_PUMP speeds during POST
* Fixed Fan tuning sometimes failing
* Fixed a few issues with AMD USB3.1 ports
* Some tuning on DRAM settings, let us know how they work for you. tRDRD_Sc is still at 5 above 3500 MHz as it helps with stability. For performance you want to force this to 1. We'll consider changing this in future releases as the performance impact can be quite noticeable in certain applications.

An update on DRAM Boot Voltage, currently it should be 1.35V by default if the DRAM Voltage is changed. So if you're setting DRAM Voltage to above 1.35V, you might want to sync this setting. Additionally there might be scenarios where you will have better luck by syncing DRAM Boot Voltage to DRAM Voltage even at lower values.




AGESA 1006 RC4 official UEFI 1401

Just tested quickly 3600 memory and cold booting, seems good but you guys are going to have to help me test this before we have a judgement. Seems CPU temp reading from SIO now has -20*C offset for XFR enabled CPUs.

Test BIOS 0079

Test BIOS with new AGESA 1004a, with a couple of bugfixes. Up to 5% performance increases in specific applications. Also has P-state overclocking working with BCLK increase. If you want to keep C-states, make sure to set Advanced\AMD CBS\Zen Common Options\Global C-state Control = Enabled. There are two new settings under AMD CBS\UMC Common Options\DDR4 Common Options\ you might want to take a look at, Fail_CNT and ProcODT. Fail_CNT decides how many times to retry when DRAM training fails (F9 -> 0d), default is now 1. ProcODT can help improve your DRAM overclocking. There's a setting available also on previous BIOSes under AMD CBS\UMC Common Options\DRAM Memory Mapping named BankGroupSwap. If you have 2x Single-Rank modules you can try setting this to Disabled and you might see some performance boost in certain applications.

2T, at least in my experience with this particular motherboard, is almost necessary with more than 16GB of RAM at speeds above 3466 for memory. The sweet spot for memory performance on this board (in terms of noticing things being super snappy in response) seems to kick in around 3466+. My two kits of PC43600C15 run at 1T around 3560 on a much earlier BIOS but when both kits are in, 2T is pretty much necessary for me to achieve stability.

So far, on 6003, I have had my system running 3501 for my 4X8GB sticks set at 2T running fine since Sunday. We shall see how long that lasts as some previous experiences with this board suggests it will suffer from Tourette's Syndrome after the third day and just outright refuse to boot at anything with a memory speed above 3200, regardless of the timings and voltage. Two BIOS's have been an exception to this experience for me but hopefully 6003 will be the third.

I have 3200CL14 at 1T with AIDA64 latency 70.5 and read, write and copy at ~49.8 GB/s it passed all stress tests but it failed to train ram from cold boot, not every time. I will try to set to 2T at boot training.

The cold boot issue could be back. We had a power outage here the other day due to some winter weather happening during the spring. 😛 It took powering on twice (only pressed the power button once) for my system to boot. I do have it set to 3 retries. I haven't actually tested to see if the cold boot issue is back. I just figured it might have been because my system lost power unexpectedly.

It looks like 3502 bios with clear memory : disabled made this cold boot bug gone.

Looks the best setting for me was running auto voltage and level 2 boost it run all core boost 4.2 ghz 1.5v/ single core boost 4.35 ghz 1.4xv, occt linpack voltage sometime kick in to 1.57v 17x watts. With my current knowledge I won't get far.

Really, the fault to this is the standards body for DRAM, JEDEC i guess, that treats everything above 2667mhz@1.2v as overclocking ... when it's been pretty much industry standard for many years now to have ram well beyond this. Allowing companies like AMD and motherboard manufacturers and the ram makers themselves, to be able to advertise OC'd speeds but not really fully support them. And since it's overclocking, there's no real spec that hardware manufacturers can build to and expect everyone else to support the same.

It's BS. These companies get to have their cake and eat it too while the consumers are left with the lottery excuse when their expensive ram doesn't work at the advertised specs.

Nvm about pump not working.

Does anyone here own a 2700x? Can you bench occt default setting on stock setting and overclock setting.

Right now my is stock running 58c at occt within 5 min.

I don't, but temperatures vary based on BIOS version. Which BIOS version are you running? 6003 on my Ryzen 1700X is about 10 degrees lower over the 1XXX BIOS's.
