C6H Test BIOS 0020 with AGESA 1007 (405200c4e299c1eed9a0044edec9aba51f37cee1d70caabe40b9485b0604521a)

In order to get back to an older version after flashing, you have to use USB BIOS Flashback.

Let me know how it works for you, especially regarding cold boot issues. Any confirmed bugs in the bug report form please

Beta BIOS 1501

* Workaround for some CPUs stuck at 22x ratio if using override voltage
* Fixes PCIEX4 bandwidth setting getting lost after power is removed
* Same DRAM boot behavior as 1403 (no cold boot fix)
* Same DRAM profiles as in 9920
* Still has the Vcore value issue when booting with Offset Mode and switching to Manual Mode

Crosshair VI Hero 1501 SHA256 EDE223DC6897B7199C93D9985E28B7A2CD1B8A8DB2DCBF3D3555A521DB4F045D

UEFI build 9920 for the C6H:

* Improved DRAM cold boot, results in slightly longer POST time
* Fix for CPU Ratio stuck at 22x on some CPUs when using Vcore override/offset
* SenseMi Skew is now Disabled by default. If you want to return to previous behavior set SenseMi Skew = Enabled and Offset = 272.
* Added DRAM profiles for Samsung B-based DIMMs with tuned subtimings, including The Stilt's settings

C6H beta UEFI 1403

* Fixed W_PUMP and AIO_PUMP speeds during POST
* Fixed Fan tuning sometimes failing
* Fixed a few issues with AMD USB3.1 ports
* Some tuning on DRAM settings, let us know how they work for you. tRDRD_Sc is still at 5 above 3500 MHz as it helps with stability. For performance you want to force this to 1. We'll consider changing this in future releases as the performance impact can be quite noticeable in certain applications.

An update on DRAM Boot Voltage, currently it should be 1.35V by default if the DRAM Voltage is changed. So if you're setting DRAM Voltage to above 1.35V, you might want to sync this setting. Additionally there might be scenarios where you will have better luck by syncing DRAM Boot Voltage to DRAM Voltage even at lower values.

AGESA 1006 RC4 official UEFI 1401

Just tested quickly 3600 memory and cold booting, seems good but you guys are going to have to help me test this before we have a judgement. Seems CPU temp reading from SIO now has -20*C offset for XFR enabled CPUs.

UEFI build 1107

Older test builds:

Test BIOS 0079

Test BIOS with new AGESA 1004a, with a couple of bugfixes. Up to 5% performance increases in specific applications. Also has P-state overclocking working with BCLK increase. If you want to keep C-states, make sure to set Advanced\AMD CBS\Zen Common Options\Global C-state Control = Enabled. There are two new settings under AMD CBS\UMC Common Options\DDR4 Common Options\ you might want to take a look at, Fail_CNT and ProcODT. Fail_CNT decides how many times to retry when DRAM training fails (F9 -> 0d), default is now 1. ProcODT can help improve your DRAM overclocking. There's a setting available also on previous BIOSes under AMD CBS\UMC Common Options\DRAM Memory Mapping named BankGroupSwap. If you have 2x Single-Rank modules you can try setting this to Disabled and you might see some performance boost in certain applications.

Test BIOS 0081

Same as 0079 but has ProcODT default = 53.3 ohm

Test BIOS 0082

Im using the bios 3008 for 2 days already. This what i can share so far:

+ No cold boot issue anymore. (I always turn the complete power off and later when i use it, on)
+ No error after using the D.O.C.P (like crashing and restart, im using my ram at D.O.C.P 5, bus speed 102.4 = 3003 and CL14 set)
+ Performance is stable, temps looks fine.
+ Fan settings work (Mine goes off, since i keep my case open)

- While testing in Cinebench, the screen froze for 2 seconds.(This didnt happen before at 1701)
I did test it serveral times, sometimes it froze. Im using the AMD chipset 17.4, bios 3008, Windows 10 64bit.
SMT on, Voltage is set manually to 1.275 V.

I ve also noticed, that the mainboard do some selfchecks or something?
The led goes first yellow, then red, then yellow, then red and this repeat 2-4 times and then it goes white and finally green.
Takes like ~4 seconds.

I did try some things, update my GPU driver and Increase voltage from 1.275 to 1.3, it doesnt fix this problem.
I ve tried the cpu stresstest at CPUZ, it didnt froze. Im playing since 1 hour Black desert, it didnt froze yet.

So for gaming this should work but i will continue play other games and see.

I have freezes in my VM when playing Offworld Trading Company. windows eventually keeps crashing with a "thread stuck in device driver" until I force it off...
I changed from 0020 to 3008 but the freezes still occur.

My system is still not able to use the RAM's full speed btw. It's not even booting, but I did not yet check for memory holes or something.

Did I mention that those 2 BIOS versions made me troubles with hardware accelerated video decodings? I using this on linux mostly...
Having an ASUS board?
Increasing the Capabilities in your Digi+ VRM can prevent your hardware from being shut off (relaxes over-current condition).
Do it if you DID NOT set bad settings but didn't get it stable. (i.e. your hardware is for overclocking, high destiny, whatever).

Latest bios seems to work for me but I had a very odd experience with it.
After I flashed the mobo, I cleared CMOS and then went in the BIOS and set the DOCP to 3200. I am running CMD16GX4M2B3200X16 which is in the QVL but I am running two kits of it so I have 4 sticks of 8GB each.
In previous BIOS i could do 3200 with only two sticks and only 2800 with 4 sticks. However with the new BIOS the DOCP booted just fine at 3200 with all 4 sticks and it passed memtest overnight.
I used it for a day and it was stable and set the RAM volts to 1.4 instead of 1.35 for a bit of extra stability. After a day, I turned on the PC and it complained that the RAM overclock is unstable. Since then, I can only get it stable at 2800 like in previous BIOS version.

Does anyone have any ideas what might have happened? Perhaps any tips to help my 1800X stable at 3200 with 4 sticks? I have not changed anything apart from the RAM volts and setting the profile to DOCP and from 3200. I tried to play around with the ODT volts too but always fails to POST if I change it from auto. I also tried to set the boot RAM voltage to 1.4 but it made no difference so I set it back to auto. I am not overclocking the CPU clock. The CPU and SOC volts are in auto.

How can it be stable for a whole day without any problem and pass 4 memtest passes and a few gaming sessions and the next day refuse to boot at 3200 without changing anything in the bios?

Have experienced myself that increasing the voltage on any setting does not equate to increasing the stability. Whatever is found to be stable, stick with those settings. If 1.35v was stable, stay with that. As was discovered, increasing the voltage caused the system to become unstable. With Ryzen, not enough voltage and the system is unstable; too much voltage, the same. Go back to what worked. If it is not broke, no need to "fix" it.

But it was stable with 1.4v It was not stable with 1.35 that is in the XMP profile.

I will still occasionally get the 'three beep' followed by a restart and second boot issue when powering up, even with 3008. Currently, no CPU overcocking nor P States set, just the memory set to its rated 3200Mhz using the default setting. (No profile selected, just the memory speed from its drop down menu)

Perhaps this is tied into my Corsair memory being Hynix. Unfortunately, with RAM prices as they are today, replacing with b die memory is not an option !

reflashed to 3008 since know it's labled as stable on the asus website.

Still stuck with ram on 3466, still unable to get it to 3600mhz

Perhaps someone can help me out 😄
my current bios settings are:
rams freq set on: 3466 (can't get it to boot when i set it to higher)
Dram volt: 1.35
1.8 pll volt: 1.8
1.05V Sb volt: 1.05

Gear down mode: Disabled
Power down auto: Auto (did not experiance any difference when i set disable/enable so left it on auto)

Ram timings: 16, 16, 16, 16, 36, 52, 7, 9, 44
Ram type: 2x 8gig G.skill Trident Z RGB 3600mhz.

All other settings are set to Auto/default atm.

I have been able to get the system running with ram @ 3600 through D.O.C.P 5 preset.
System was as unstable as i could get.

If anyone could help met getting my ram working prop on 3600mhz i would really apprieciate it!

P.S. when i first flashed 3008 bios i was able to get ram to 3600mhz but system sufferd from random feezes and rebooted automaticly very 20 min or so, now when i can't get it to 3600 no matter what (dunno why)

more DRAM voltage
what is your SOC? procODT?

SOC - Auto/default (Dunno the amount that is Safe to use)
pocODT - auto (dunno the amount Ohm that is "safe" to use)
Voltage DRAM - tried 1.35/ 1.40/ 1.45 none did the trick

all auto - and you are surprised you can't boot @3600  ?

for 3466 you use built-in Stilt's profile or just set 3466?
